As some one who has never really got into the Dark Souls games this did not do a good job of making me interested in the story or plot. This game has a pace that I do not find engaging.

Many other people rave about this game. But if you never played the others i wouldnt recommend starting on this one. confusing at first and no real interest on keeping me going.

I was never good at the first Dark Souls games, but managed to get through Bloodborne, so I figured I'd give this a try for the price. Still chipping away.

I heard the reviews of it being a challenging game but I bit the bullet. I couldn't get out of the starting zone.

This game presents an intense challenge that I in no way had patience for. Promptly traded it in at game stop. Only lost out on $10

Dark Souls 3 sees the conclusion of the of dark-fantasy series that originally began as Demon's Souls on the PS3. Taking a cue from its predecessors (as well as the spinoff/side-game Bloodborne), DS3 is the ultimate culmination of challenge and reward. There is no perma-death, but if you hope to beat the game, patience and skill are key. The controls have not changed beyond some new additions like weapon skills, however the camera can still be quite tricky in small areas as it was in previous Souls games. Furthermore, the beginning level sees a serious step up in difficulty that may catch newcomers and less hardcore players off guard, so be weary when choosing your character's initial class and stats.

An avid Soulsborne fan, I've spent nearly 300 hours in Dark Souls 3 at this point and have enjoyed every minute of there. Newcomers to the series will have an easier time than other Souls games, so if this is your first foray, it's a good place to start. There is still plenty of challenge for veterans, however the NG+ and PVP aren't as robust this time around. The story is great, though, and the lore, characters and setting is basically a love letter to fans. A fantastic game from top to bottom, highly recommended.

This is one of the most addicting games I've played. To me, there's something about Bloodborne that is better, but I understand they are not the same story either. I think what makes this game so good is that it makes me feel like I did playing video games as a kid..... Mario N64 dying over and over and never making progress.
