Im new to the dark souls series not having even played Demon Souls which it originally spawned from. That said, before long I was slaying enemies left and right. Start this game knowing you'll die.. a lot! It's part of the fun, before long you'll begin planning out strategies to get past a difficult enemy longing for the sight of the next bonfire. It's harrowing, it's horrifying, and it's uh.. hypoallergenic (technically). In time you'll see that it can also be very hilarious. As far as the lore, it can stand alone at least in my experience.

The game is so difficult and challenging, but I like the games from FromSoftware. If you have played bloodborne. you should buy this game.

Awesome game. Combat and weapon styles are fantastic. Great graphics. Interesting story and all around one of a kind experience.

This game seems to be much harder than bloodborne but still very fun to play with and rewarding as you progress.

The game explains very little about itself and requires the player to forgo modern hand holding gameplay mechanics. Expect to die a lot. But the game is filled with items to find everywhere. Side stories, optional bosses, special swords. It rewards exploration as much as it punishes you for it. It brilliantly balances the risk/reward challenge and comes out a must buy. I recommend having a seasoned souls player by your side for the first hour or two if possible.

The combat is solid but is more fast paced than the other titles in the series. The visuals are high quality and the story line is intriguing but hard to uncover.

This is one of the hardest games I have ever played. It is fun if you have a friend that plays too. So hard.

If you arent a fan of tough games, then avoid. That being said, this is one of the best in the genre.

I got into this series with Dark Souls 1 and was never able to make time to finish it or get Dark Souls 2. I managed to pass by Dark Souls 3 in Best Buy while looking for a monitor and I took it and went straight for the cashier. No regrets. This game is just awesome. Intensive, difficult, strategic, awesome graphics, large world, quests, boss monsters, weapon development, leveling, and online gameplay adds more in game fun.

This is a great game that is also very challenging. It's also really fun to play with friends.

Dark Souls 3 is not my kind of game. I've been beaten, fire-balled, chopped, and destroyed, but I keep coming back. The first hour or two I wanted to slam my controller against the wall. However, things started to click for me after that. I persisted. I began to respect the enemies and learn their attacks & weaknesses. The settings and visuals are striking and the battles are harrowing. The feeling of finally thrashing a boss that's been thrashing you is amazing. Dark Souls 3 isn't a game I'd play every day, but I'm up for the challenge when it calls.

It's got a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's incredibly satisfying

This is one of the best RPGs you can play if you like challenge. This game is fantastic, I have played it for over 400 hours and I'm still playing because there are lots to do. You can play it solo, co-op, summon other player and let them help you or help them, you can invade and test other players' patience and/or skills. I you are a Dark Souls/Bloodborne fan, this game is definitely for you.

People usually either love or hate Souls games. Often it's less about the game and more about the lack of patience. As with previous titles, DS3 will challenge your persistence and skill, but it is a worthwhile expierence that really builds on the previous titles, honing it to perfection. Graphics are great and the lore is immersive. This is the kind of game you can easily lose yourself in.

It's an awesome game, very addictive due to it's difficulty level, but you should really play the first two.

I like dark souls because its so easy I school all the casuals at the arenas and I school all the casuals at the library and I school all the casuals at the castle and I school all the casuals in the caves and I school all the casuals in the church and I school all the casuals in the swamp and I school all the casuals in the village.

haven't played it yet but if it's like earlier games good story and interesting play is expected
