It is definitely nostalgic to play dark souls again but...the key bindings that could not be changed on the controller hurt a lot for me.

Purchased this for my Husband for Christmas, when he opened the game case low and behold......there was no game inside. Doubt BestBuy would believe us, so i'm out 40 bucks.

A lot of bugs, ran into game load issues, and it just doesn't play as well. Look out if you are a huge fan cause this isn't the game you want to play then.

Awesome port to the switch... this game runs smooth and drops you in the surreal world of Dark Souls. For those new to the series or FromSoftware games, this is a must play.

It’s been 5 months since Dark Souls Remastered was released to current gen consoles, not that I’ve been counting. I’m relieved to say the switch version was not a long waited disappointment. Visually it’s an improvement from the x360 version. It’s not in 4K running at 60fps, but unless you’re looking at a side-by-side, the differences doesn’t really take you out of it. Sound quality has been compressed but not enough to dampen my experience. The controls feel fluid and responsive. I have big hands, so I’ve been using the pro controller. Using the joy-cons still works just as well. I don’t think motion controls have been added. I think the portability aspect is perfect for this game. If you need to grind for souls with the tv on in the background. Or have one more go at the boss before work. Playing undocked still looks just as good, if not better, docked. For newcomers, Dark Souls is a game about patience, risk and reward. And I think the portability aspect will make you wanna come back and try...and try...and try again.

You know what you're getting into with dark souls, it's challenging, intuitive and intricate however just as rewarding the second time around(or frustrating) with the bonus of being portable on the 2nd go.

This game is a wonderful casual experience of a video game that I highly recommend for anyone looking into getting to play video games for the first time. They will have a great time picking up the easy to navigate control system and will find going through levels to be a breeze while still being very entertaining. Would recommend for any age group! 4/5 not enough skeletons
