The gentlemen from geek squad who installed my Rexing front and rear M2 dash cam had ripped my vehicles weather strip lining right near the front drivers side window when attempting to hide the dash cam wires. He then attempted to glue it back together, but failed and just made the rip even worse! Best Buy ended up filing a claim because the damage done coasted over $500 to replace. I had the get the whole weather strip lining replaced due to this. I then had to wait a weeks for a check to come in the mail, it was a very big inconvenience for me because I was constantly worrying for weeks that rain could possibly leak into my vehicle and cause even further damage than had already been done! Luckily, the rain had stayed out enough time for the check to come in the mail without any further damages. I had the weather strip lining replaced right away by a trusted mechanic. The mechanic that fixed my weather lining also, had to hide the dash cam wires that Best Buy failed to do without ripping it. I never got a refund for paying $100 for the installation that Best Buy failed to do correctly. I no longer can risk or trust any geek squad member to install anything for my vehicle anymore which is very disappointing to me.

He didnt have to put up front dascam. I was charged anyhow.

I traded my dash cam in for a built in backup camera stereo and had Best Buy install it.

Terrible installation experience. I will never return to this store. Because the wires were apparently not long enough, the camera was installed in position where it didn't get a proper view of the front of the vehicle. No discussion of the problem before tech installed the camera wrong, leaving me with little choice but to accept it because I needed to leave to pick up kids. Installation took 2 hours, with most of the time tech just seemed to be out doing something else. Tech tried to get me to pay for installation of back camera because apparently the back camera wasn't included in the "free installation" that came with the camera package. When I refused, he backed off. Camera was mounted in a way that full front view was impossible. Vehicle was immediately returned to my garage after installation, and the next morning camera was falling off of the mount (see attached photo.) They really don't know what they are doing and are just trying to get you out of the door.

I would give service a -0 I wrote in advance the model of my front and rear dash cam installation so they would be prepared when I brought my vehicle to its appt. I was told it would take 1 1/2 hours to do, so i patiently waited. Then he said he was done. He ran out of time! He never installed the rear camera and quoted me that Inwould need to bring it in again and it would cost me $126 to do it. I already paid the installation for the entire service for $88 which was quoted online. I had to drive straight to work and then parts of the cords started popping out of where the tech installed my camera. Sticky tabs started showing. It became a hazard for me driving because the wires where getting more exposed. I see electrical tape wrapped around wires. And zipped tied!! It was horribly done. I have to go to a different location to uninstall the mess that was made. With the rain it was hard to see while the wires are dangling in front of my window. I won’t get anything installed here again.

Rear dash cam was installed upside down. I removed it to re install it right side Up and it ruined the extra thick double sided black tape pad used to secure it. I have to order a new double sided black tape pad. Presently it is not installed. :(

What good is a dash cam when it is installed above the wiper line? Living in the north it will constantly be covered with snow, slush and road grim. Also useless in the rain.

Installation was not professionally install dash but 24 hard wire just cut and inserts.

I went in to get a dash cam installed, the process was overall pretty easy. I first called to see if they do install dash cams they said yes, then I asked how much, they quoted the price. I was like, that’s not bad at all. I paid for the instillation fee right away, set up the appointment. Showed up, talked with the worker who would be working on it, he was so friendly and knowledgeable! It was less than 2 hours and he was finished! Quick and painless! 5 STARS ⭐️

Overall, a dashcam with a separate rear window camera installation is a great option for anyone looking to record both the front and rear of their vehicle. It has a number of pros, such as recording both front and rear views, being easy to install, and being affordable. However, it also has a few cons, such as being bulky and not being compatible with all vehicles.

I had an amazing experience at Best Buy thanks to the phenomenal Geek Squad team—Eddie, Moses, and Jason. I brought in my Rove R2-4K dash cam for both front and rear installation, and they completely exceeded my expectations. They told me the install would take about an hour and a half, but they had everything done in just 30 minutes. They were quick, efficient, and extremely professional. Their customer service was outstanding—they walked me through the setup, answered every question, and made sure everything was functioning perfectly before I left. And let me just say this: the price for installation at Best Buy is better than anywhere else in all of Atlanta. I did my research—nobody could beat it. Huge shoutout to Eddie, Moses, and Jason for doing such a fantastic job. If you’re getting a dash cam installed or need any Geek Squad service, this is the team you want!

This was my 2nd time getting this service. The first time was about 8 months before. They did a good job and it was helpful when i was rear ended a couple months back. I decided to come back and get it installed on my new car as well. This time the service tech added the feature for the dash cam to work when the car is turned off. I was using the same dash cam and i the tech didn't add that feature on my other car so i am appreciative. I recommend this service. I just wish that best buy would offer it on the site, you have to call it in if you want to get both front and rear installation.

Excellent installation of a dashcam front and rear wired.

Best Buy installation of dash cams is awesome. I've used them to install four sets of the Nextbase 622 dash cam. This included installing the wire connection between the front and rear cameras and connecting the dash cam to my electrical service. The online scheduling tool was easy and the install excellent, plus the price was right.

This is an over due review. We installed a dash cam at Best Buy. This was our 3rd time we used Best Buy to install a dash cam on our cars. The technicians were very helpful and we are always happy with their service.

Device was installed well no complaints there - only complaint I have is the timeframe for the install and options for waiting. The dash cam I had installed was booked as a one hour and a half appt- upon arrival there were several other people waiting and only 2 techs working so I knew it was gonna be a while however there were only two chairs in the garage for customers to wait and both were taken so I took the only other option provided to me which was to browse the store during the appt. I walked around the store for two and a half hours not a single word from anyone in install. I finally got fed up with waiting and tired as there was no where to sit I went back to the office and knocked on the door until someone heard me and opened it. He informed me my car had been done he just didn’t process the paperwork yet. Again the work itself was solid however I think there could be Improvement on communication and customer accommodations during long waits such as improved waiting areas etc.

The technicians installed my front and rear dash cam in relatively short period of time. The installation was very neat and the dash cam works well. I was provided with an explanation of the set up and operation of the device.
