Camera works when plugged in to other power source but the wiring that was installed isn't giving juice to the camera. I have an appointment to have it reinstalled again.

Horrible experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The most horrible experience I've ever had bought the device for my vehicle on 11/18/22 was told i couldn't have it installed till 12/24/22 got a phone call from best buy on the day it was supposed to be installed asking if i could have it installed on 12/26/22 i agreed to having it installed then, i showed up for the appointment and was told they cannot installe my device and told me i had to go to another state to have it installed because they didn't have anyone who could do it so now I'm forced to find someone who can ,lucky i did but now its costing me over 200$ more to have it done i personally would never recommend anyone buying something that needs to be installed from them

When I went to have installed, they state that the wrong install was charged and made me pay $80 more. This is deceptive business practices and will be followed up.

Good product, bad install

From Bad to Worse

Technician broke off the connector pin and no part replacement resulting in inoperable rear camera. In addition, didn’t notice that the gps accessory was not installed until I left and tried to learn the device in YouTube. Plus, there was an extra connector wire in the front camera that was just hanging and not connected, and per YouTube, that was supposed to connect to the video input—however the connector wire was too short and wouldn’t connect. This is the worse service I ever experienced and appears the technician is an amateur and not knowledgeable in installing dash cams.

Bad Experience cancelling an installation.

Not until I spoke with the fourth person was it done right. Please cut out the apparent foreign operators. They mean well but can’t speak fluently or because they speak too fast and have a heavy accent I spent about 45 minutes trying to simply cancel my installation appt. Each person, there were four, seemed to have difficulty in retrieving the info and setting things straight. Whew! Not in keeping with Best Buy’s excellent reputation. This part of the business needs a make-over. I’m 72 years old and know you have a good company. Please fix this part to stay on top. Thank you.

Geek squad sold me the wrong equipment and install

Waste of time

They told us ours would be done closer to 6 instead of 5:30. They called 10 minutes to 6 and said they didn't even start on ours because the previous car they installed had a compatibility issue, so they had to uninstall that one, and never got a chance to do ours. Got a refund.

Geek Squad waste of time

Great install but wrong dash cam

Worst experience ever

The store doesn't open until 10:00 AM. Tried to phone but was directed to multiple call centers with no one able to help.

I told him so and he told me sorry it's my culture. Well my culture doesn't deal well with that behavior. If this wasn't a gift I wouldn't keep it. He didn't give me any info or even show me how to work the product. Done with Best Buy.

Lousy job

First, the buy who installed my dashcam has not been a happy man. He seem defensive for every legitimate question I asked, second, the few days after the installation has been completed, the camera was going on / off and stop recording. Now since I must have a dashcam in my car, I had to go external vendor who can professionally install the camera.
