Geek Squad did a great job getting info. off of my tower. We didn't even know if we'd get much. But we got alot. Thank you Geek Squad!

The Geek Squad is awesome! I was concerned the turn-around to have my files from my old computer transferred to my new computer would take a week. Geek Squad under promised and over delivered. It was completed within 24-hours. VERY THANKFUL!

Very understanding staff about my situation, they presented options, and the service was very quick (1 day).

My data transfer went well but the person who checked out the computer to me to review opened up the wrong section on the computer so it looked like not everything had transferred and he wasn't sure as he didn't work on it. I brought it home and was quite distressed when items that I was told would transfer like photo files, music folders, etc did not migrate, I called and the tech I spoke too said I would have to bring it back, once I did I was set up with Alex who did the work and he immediately knew what the issue was and took care of me. This could have been avoided if the computer is turned over to the customer by the actual person who worked on it.

This is the first time I have used Geek Squad. I had an older Lenovo which I loved until last year. I knew it was struggling. The Geek squad was able to secure and transfer the photos that were on it and other documents and load windows. They were great when I went to the store to pick up the newly loaded Lenovo machine. They reviewed the basic items I had purchased, reviewed the basic machine helped me set passwords and patience while I wrote notes. They also offered suggestions and reminded me that the laptop had touchscreen capability so when I was having trouble (hands shake) I could move easily with a finger applied to the screen!! I hope to make an appointment to leave my old computer with the old hard drive hopefully to find more files that the company I had hired previously really messed up. For timing on the work, it was over a holiday, but I didn't really have to wait about 2 days total. They also helped explain information concerning my television, I know they are a good resource. I am happy that I called them will do so again, and will recommend them to others.

Transfer of data is great and the basic cost is generally fine. However, what they don't tell you is that when you return, be prepared to bring your own jump drive (make sure its big enough to hold your data). Otherwise, they will force you to purchase a drive even though you just paid almost $100 for the transfer (which means they stick the drive in the computer and walk away). Of course, this is separate from the protection plan which is already $139-$169. I used to love BB, but I have become so incredibly discouraged with their customer service and hidden costs, and lack of following through on their own commitment.

They really know what they're doing. Saved me a bundle with their expertise.

Geek Squad took photos off 2 laptops that were not functioning and transferred them to another hard drive. Their service was friendly and quick. We have used Geek Squad in the past, and have always felt confident in their knowledge and service.

Geek Squad did an excellent job transferring my data. The associate with whom I worked assisted me in selecting an appropriate hard drive for the transfer; though I was quoted a few days, the transfer was actually completed in one day. The associate I worked with was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He is an asset to Best Buy and Geek Squad. I would definitely use Geek Squad for this type of assistance again.

I use external hard drives now almost exclusively. The Toshiba Cavio has over the years turned out to be the best one for me. I have a series of them, and most are of the 2TB variety. I find them wonderfully glitch-free and easy to handle. Their ability to self-identify to the next new unit makes them a fast mount, able to move from one box to the next with ease. The fact that they come in so many colors helps me quickly identify their content for the task at hand. Mine are silver, black, white, and red - so far. I use a hard-shell case that easily fits in my pocket if I'm traveling light, or I can pop multiple ones into my backpack if I need to take my whole shop with me. Rather rugged, I've accidentally dropped them from waist-high and have yet to have had a problem. Still, very scary: I don't recommend dropping one!

While another Best Buy associate misinformed me about how long transferring my data and setting up my new computer would take, my Geek Squad associate did everything possible to solve the problem. (which involved transferring my computer data to my backup drive, so I could take my old computer home for use, until the new computer was ready in 2 days.) Jacob listened to me, and solved the proble, not created by Geek Squad. I've been very happy with my new computer, and found the data transferred and easily accessed. Thank you Geek Squad.

My previous laptop had died and this service was a lifesaver! I bought my new laptop and had them transfer everything over. Took about 24hrs and it was ready. It was great not losing any data even though my motherboard was busted.

The Geek Squad team at Lewisville TX did a great job of transferring the hard drive on my old iMac hit by lightening onto my new iMac. I had no power, but they were able to access my hard drive and gave the old drive to me to keep or destroy.

I've brought my desk top and lap top computers into the store for servicing and have always been satisfied. The tech was friendly and knowledgeable. Work was completed in a timely manner.

the first agent and myself went over exactly what was going to happen and how the Backup and Transfer to my new tower was going procede. When I went to pick up my tower the 2nd Agent went over everything that was done and everything went well. Got home set it up and a little tweaking to my liking and its working great

Great experience with the service techs/geeks when I purchased my new pc.

I received my geek squad service in the Best Buy store in Aberdeen NC. I spoke to every Geek squad member over a course of the week it took to resolve all of the issues with my recent purchases and service inquiries AND every one was competent, thorough in clarifying answers to all of my questions plus led me to buy the BEST product to resolve the issues with my computers not the most expensive product. Although I was told that the backup procedure may not be successful, it was and I credit their expertise for that.

I purchased a new laptop to replace my 9+ year old one. Being a Total member, the Geek Squad transferred information from old to the new at no additional cost. They had me come in and sat with me to determine everything I wanted had transferred. Two items were missing, and they completed the transfer while I waited. Highly recommend!

Geek squad was so helpful and made it very simple. I thought my college grad photos were lost forever, but geeksquad were able to get my graduation photos onto a flashdrive that I can transfer to a new laptop I was assisted in buying from bestbuy as well. Not I can print out my college graduation photos, which I have haven't seen in years.
