With Data Backup or Transfer service, you can bring your devices to a Best Buy store and have a Geek Squad Agent transfer data from one device to another.*You'll need to bring in both your old and new devices, and you'll be without them until the transfer is complete. Please note that this is a drop-off service, so it will not be performed while you wait. A: I had physical damage. the computer fell off counter top and messed up the corner pretty good. they fixed all the physical damage and had it back to me within two weeks. when i turned it on the hard drive was messed up and would not allow certain programs to open. so, i sent it back and it took about two more weeks to get back. when i got it back this time it sounded like the speakers were blown and upon looking at the back of the laptop i can see wires that are bare/you can see copper through the insulated wire. this is a Dell alien ware so of course they keep trying to fix it, but there is absolutely no way that wire was that way prior to them working on it. so again i sent it back. they have now had the computer for over a month and a half total (15 days so far this time) and they have not even received the parts to do the repairs according to their tracking information. I rely on my computer for business so i had to buy another one just to keep everything moving forward. this has gotten beyond ridiculous.

A: The backup from my dead pc to a remote hard drive was $100. They recommend you do it that way then just transfer the files onto your new pc.
