I purchased my new device late in the evening and the geek squad accepted my new device. They kept my device overnight in order for the data transfer to continue. They made sure that everything was how I wanted on my iPad and helped if there were any problems! I would go back to the geek squad for help anytime

I am pretty technical and have even built computers in the past but now that technology has changed so much there are better ways to transfer data. I purchase a new Laptop from Best Buy and needed ALL my data transferred to the new one from the old one. The tools being sold to us as Consumers is definitely not as sophisticated as what Best Buy Geek Squad has. I tried to transfer files and the computer stated it couldn't do some of them due to the file name being long. Well not with what Best Buy uses. The technician was able to transfer 1TB of data to my new Laptop and I didn't lose anything. It was done within a few days and thats it. It was worth my time not having to do it with all the issues I was having.

I purchased a new all-in-one desktop and brought it back for a data transfer more than four months later. The Geek Squad staff was friendly, knowledgeable and patient, and they completed the task perfectly and ahead of schedule.

Had the Geek Squad back up my data when I bought a new computer. They transferred my files, pictures, docs and favorites from the old computer to my new one. Did a great job and very seamless to use.

Agent helped me get my device fixed and kept me updated I didnt have to wait for them to transfer anything it was all done when i got there it was a easy show up pick up my laptop and i was back to work. I got data backup when my hard drive crashed and needed to be replaced. The Geek Squad folks were able to rescue all of my data and put it all in one desktop folder on my new hard drive. Also great recommendations for new hard drive.

Make sure they have any passwords you use before leaving your machine to have the data moved. I didn't know they would need so much, which required two trips. The work went smoothly and the data was transferred.

Overall I am happy with the data transfer from my old laptop to the new one. I certainly could not have done it as efficiently. The one shortcoming of this process is the inability to transfer my personal programs that I've acquired over the years. I was made aware of this upfront but it has created somewhat of a hardship for 2 reasons. First, there is not a DVD Writer with the new laptop so I had to purchase an external device to load my missing programs. Secondly, I don't have all the DVD's for all the programs so I will have to purchase new versions of those. This catch up process has created a lot of time consumption that I wasn't planning on.

Thanks to the Geek Squad at Best Buy for making my old computer data recovery seem simple. Their data transfer service was lifesaver - everything from my old computer to the new one was seamless and smooth. No more stressing about lost files or settings. Thanks for taking the tech headache away

I received excellent service from the Geek Squad. I left my old computer with them and they transferred the data flawlessly! My new computer is such a breeze to use! Very pleased with this purchase.

Geek squad members have been great: patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. Only concern was my computer was not ready as promised-48 hours. They told me to come back the next day, but it was actually completed 2 hours later. Points for calling me immediately upon completion. Transferred requested info, but have not found specific word documents on new computer. 24/7 Geek Squad service has been GREAT too: short waits, easy access and return calls within promised time frame. That plan was money WELL-SPENT! The GEEK SQUAD has come a LONG WAY from my previous experiences.

My computer's motherboard crashed, so Geek Squad backed up my data on an external hard drive and then put it back for me when my computer returned with pictures and music missing. They did a great job and all is well!~!
