The Geek Squad did a very thorough job of backing up my data and transferring it to the new solid state hard drive. It took a couple of days longer than I was initially told - but I did get it in a timely manner.

If you're not a computer genius, you have to use the geek squad. efficient, knowledgeable and just nice folks. Very helpful and they don't make you feel like an idiot! Can't say enough good things about them

My laptop needed a new hard drive which led me to backup my data. It was well worth it. Everything I wanted saved was saved. I would constantly receive calls about the status of the backup. Awesome customer service!

Excellent in store service to set up and explain my new computer to me and the transfer of files from my older computer to the new one was seamless.

The rep (Michigan) who performed the set-up of my new laptop and did the transfer of files and data from the old one was outstanding! He was courteous and professional, and very knowledgeable. In addition, he was very patient, which was very important as I am not very “technically savvy”. All-in-all it was a very successful encounter!

I came in before my appointment but they started waiting on me and I guess the person that was late showed up so they rushed through telling me about my back up to get to the person that had been late arriving for they appointment. When i came back a couple of days later because I could not remember how to get to the area where they put my transfer it was implied that if I had any more questions I would have to pay for the service. I am not good with electronics the first guy was really nice and helpful but when I came back I did not feel as welcomed.

My old laptop's motherboard burned up. But thankfully, the Geek Squad was able to recover the data from my hard drives and transfer it to my new laptop. They saved me hours of time. Thank you so much.

I came in to pick up my laptop after repair by the Geek Squad and decided to get a cordless phone for the kitchen. I was looking for the simplest phone I could get, and an American made product. I found just what I was looking for and could use it right out of the box. The Best Buy staff who helped me were great and knowledgeable. The people are what makes Best Buy a great store. I am a long term customer of Best Buy for laptop computers, printers and other electronics, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They provide outstanding technical support for computers both by phone and in the store. Best Buy's prices are good, the staff is excellent, and going there always saves me both time and money.

My local Best Buy has been suffering lately in the "customer service" category. Having very few people to help you is routine. Having anyone to help that knows anything about the products is really rare. BUT, having said that, the folks in the Geek Squad have been AMAZING. They deliver on time (if not early) and will call you if they have any questions about your service order. And they know their stuff - enough so that they can recommend shortcuts, alternative software and even different hardware configurations. I do appreciate having them there.

I purchased a new computer and wanted the data transferred from the old one that had some problems and didn't want to do it myself. Service was fast and the techs were very helpful.

Geek squad was able to retrieve my data and restore function of my lap top after the mother board died. It is similar to performing open heart surgery on a computer and having a successful outcome.

I must say that I had one of the best technician help me out when I bought my iMac & had to transfer my data from my PC. Mohammed from the Secaucus store was outstanding & caring! I had tons of questions & concerns & he assisted me through the end. Example: when I purchased my iMac, the data transfer did not take because the antivirus that was installed considered my previous Geek Squad data transfer folder as a virus. After showing him the garbage that was transferred was incorrect, he figured out that it was the antivirus software. After he disabled it, it showed that the data transfer would take 4 hours. He told me that it was ok for me to go home & that he would call me when done. He called 3 hours later & I returned to the store. We went through most of my folders & saw that all my data, pictures, etc, were there. He went above & beyond to help me & made sure I was happy with the work done before leaving the store. He was great! Thank you Mohammed for helping me out!!! Five stars for him!

Phase several old computers that I needed the data transfer to the t we o scan disk I purchased and Eric did a great job! He is very knowledgeable and helped. Me out a lot. Very detailed and no issues. Very happy to see my old photos of my daughters many years ago when they were in elementary and middle school and now the are adults. I thought I lost that data / but Eric gave me back what I thought I lost . Memories are priceless! Thank you.

Geek Squad did a data transfer as part of a setup for my new PC. Most data was transferred, but I'm still trying to find and move to appropriate folders a fair percentage of the data that was on my old PC.

They transferred my data from PC to Mac, recycled my old, broken laptop, and gave me the hard drive so I could easily slide it into a case to use as an external hard drive. Great service, worth the cost!

I bought a New MacBook since my old wouldn't support a lot of stuff any more and in service at the store the Geek Squad transfer info from Old Mac to the New on I bought from them. They are the BEST!! Have had Geek Squad for 12 years now, I would recommend them!!!!!!!
