I cannot say enough how thrilled I was for geek squad to come to my rescue. I had backed up everything on my phone, REPLACED MY PHONE, and then my laptop crashes. I thought everything, pictures, videos, memories, was gone. I spent days being frustrated at my crummy laptop trying to coax it back to regularity. If it wasn't for best buy, I would have had to kiss all that goodbye. Not only that, but my piece-of-you-know-what laptop needed replacing anyway, and they gave me half off the price of a data restore if I bought a new laptop and transferred it that hard drive. Score!

I had a laptop that froze up! When I went to the store, they stated that they could retrieve the data for me. The staff was great and held up their word and got me my data back. I can't say enough for them!

I used to be computer-savvy when I was still working, but having been retired for 8 years, I am out of the loop, so to speak. It was worth it to me to have the Geek Squad transfer my data from my old desktop, which was quickly accomplished within a couple of days, plus they installed new software and went over with me what was done and sat me down at a store terminal to make sure I was satisfied before leaving the store. Thank goodness for young brains. They were super polite and most of all, PATIENT, with my silly questions and worries.

I had a data transfer by the Geek squad and they also set up my new computer for me. The service manager Hannah handled all things extremely professional and ensured I was satisfied with the service and product. Her team worked together to get me what i needed and made sure i understood the product. I appreciate tht ehy went the extra mile to make this experience a positive one. Thanks!

I had visited two other PC repair shops as well as had gotten a third estimate before visiting your location. The first two, Staples and Office Max techs, both said they could save my computer but not necessarily my data. While Geek squad was the most expensive repair service, and the value of my used PC less than the repair, they saved my data. The data value is potentially worth the repair and the ungraded operating system was an appreciated surprise. Thank you.

The Geek Squad charges a very reasonable flat rate for backing up everything on your computer and transferring it to a new computer. I checked with another service for doing the same thing and it would have cost more than $600 because they charged by the hour, and data backup takes a very long time. The Geek Squad does a wonderful job, they are professional, and fast. I have everything from my old computer saved on an external hard drive as well as everything transferred onto my new computer. This service is the best and will save you a ton of money.

When I bought a replacement for my older Microsoft Surface 3, I was told that they could transfer data from my old unit to my new unit even though the old unit appeared to be 'dead'. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to revive my old unit and its data. Since the unit had been offline for a month or more, I was able to use the in-store Ethernet connection to get the updates in minutes (where a wireless connection would take literally hours). Now I have a spare back up unit! Thanks!!

The hard drive on my laptop died just after I submitted my 2016 taxes online. The next day I could not reboot the computer. I knew things were gradually decaying but I did not know how bad this would be. When I couldn't reboot it I brought it into the Geek Squad and they were able to salvage all the data on the hard drive and replace the failed drive with a new drive containing all my data. Thus far everything has been working fine and I'm exceedingly happy that they could save all my data and files and I could go on with my trusty laptop. Thank you Geek Squad.

I was very happy with the service and expediency I got when I had a problem booting my computer. Your Geek Squad was very helpful as always. I did pay to have my data backed up and I was foolish not to ask that they back up "everything". I told them I had a back up of my music and photos. After my hard drive was reformatted, I found out that my online back ups was backing up the wrong photos folder for years and my external hard drive backup had an old copy of photos backup so I lost about four months' worth of photos! But it was my mistake, not the Geek Squad's.

Geek Squad Agent Kevin G. of San Diego not only delivered my new HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e, but also connected to my new iMac, did a data backup and transfer from my 8yo iMac, established connectivity with my iPad and iPhone. In general, he did everything I would still be trying to figure out two weeks later. More than pleased and better than 5 stars.

Great job by agents, connected everything , set up was excellent

Agents are friendly, welcoming, and caring. Despite being a walk-in, they helped me schedule an appointment. During my appointment, they helped me resolve my problem as efficiently and quickly as they could.

I was having a major computer problem so your geeks had to remove everything on my hard drive and store it until the computer was fixed. They also had to obtain a unit to connect the outside had drive to the computer so that all of the information could be completed properly. They kept me informed as to what they were doing and the time it would take to complete the job, and they did it all on timel.

Had an old Dell desktop that wouldn't start and had not backed-up the data. Technician was able to retrieve all the data. An expensive lesson learned to periodically save docs ($100). We were very satisfied with the Tech as he was very professional. The reason for the 4 stars is they ask me to wait to see if data could be retrieved which was almost an hour. Then I still had to come back in a couple of days for pickup.

Geek Squad took my damaged laptop and backed up my hard drive to an external hard drive. The staff was professional and the service was affordable.

Overall I had a good experience with my new laptop, however, when both devices were there having data transferred, the old was supposed to be wiped clean and have windows optimized. The latter hadn't been because I was still prompted to enter my password to log onto the old LT and all of my icons were still on the main screen, thus I had to leave the old LT there so it could be readied for its next recipient, and it took longer than I would have thought . The service with my phone was initially great, found the phone problem and had a replacement sent next day! Upon returning with my new phone to transfer data from a much older phone I was using in the meantime, I was permitted to leave the store, unknowingly, before the transfer was complete. Ended up turning around and going back to the store, minutes later. The process was then completed, and I made sure before leaving, but neglected to check my backed up pics. I got the ones from the older phone, but not from the one that needed to be replaced. I lost a bunch of pics that I thought I backed up into the cloud, but couldn't seem to find them. All and all, most of the techs there are aces!

Everything is working good. They didn't take too long. Everything was explained. The Geeks were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Brendin helped me transfer all of my data over to my new phone. He is amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. It seems like everyone was coming to him for his assistance. He’s an asset to best buy.

After discovering my grandson's computer could not be fixed, but would need tobe replaced, the technician(jonathan?) was etremely helpful with explaining the problem, the solution and directed us to Curtis who helped select a replacement. Once we had the replacement, he quickly and professionally transferred the data from the problematic computer to the new computer and ensured we were set to go.
