The hard drive on my laptop died just after I submitted my 2016 taxes online. The next day I could not reboot the computer. I knew things were gradually decaying but I did not know how bad this would be. When I couldn't reboot it I brought it into the Geek Squad and they were able to salvage all the data on the hard drive and replace the failed drive with a new drive containing all my data. Thus far everything has been working fine and I'm exceedingly happy that they could save all my data and files and I could go on with my trusty laptop. Thank you Geek Squad.

I was very happy with the service and expediency I got when I had a problem booting my computer. Your Geek Squad was very helpful as always. I did pay to have my data backed up and I was foolish not to ask that they back up "everything". I told them I had a back up of my music and photos. After my hard drive was reformatted, I found out that my online back ups was backing up the wrong photos folder for years and my external hard drive backup had an old copy of photos backup so I lost about four months' worth of photos! But it was my mistake, not the Geek Squad's.

After discovering my grandson's computer could not be fixed, but would need tobe replaced, the technician(jonathan?) was etremely helpful with explaining the problem, the solution and directed us to Curtis who helped select a replacement. Once we had the replacement, he quickly and professionally transferred the data from the problematic computer to the new computer and ensured we were set to go.

Got good price as got the total tech support for 200 a year which includes car installs. They recovered 1 of 3 drives. The other 2 would have to be sent off for probably 600-1000 or more (open ended) which I declined. The process to check in and check out is WAY TOO LONG! Which that and not ability to fix all is reason for 4 stars. I would say 3 for these things but they did do a good job on the 1 drive they were able to recover from. Good for non-drive failure issues.

The Geek Squad recovered my data from a crashed hard disk. This was the first time I've used them and I found them professional and pleasant. They explained the process and my options. I was pleased with their service.

The Geek Squad Team are Excellent!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone is so professional, knowledgable and courteous at all time. I don't know what I would have done without them when needed. They are amazing!!!!!

When I went initially to take my old computer and the new one for the data transfer, I had great customer service from Marcelo who wrote down what I wanted done. For example, the ability to change languages from English to Spanish on the keyboard; my picture and first two names on the landing screen. This later request was ignored, even though I know Marcelo had written it down. When it was time to pick up the computers, I didn't realize there were several issues so I had to return to have them rectified. I'd like to mention I live an hour round trip away from the store. Fortunately, Marcelo was there and he went out of his way to help me. I have two Gmail accounts. Nobody asked me which one I wanted as a default. The one that was chosen by somebody was, of course, the one I didn't want. Also they kept, or most likely, threw away the felt keyboard protection pads for both computers. Admittedly the one for the older computer wasn't in mint condition, but the pad for the new computer was in perfect condition. Why wasn't I asked if I wanted them back or not? In other words, I wasn't completely satisfied with the Geek Squad's work, but was grateful to have Marcelo's assistance. The Squad didn't do a bad job, but I expected better.

Geek Squad took my damaged laptop and backed up my hard drive to an external hard drive. The staff was professional and the service was affordable.

Dropped my computer off for repair and picked it up when done. Quick and knowledgeable staff with totally no stress. Thank you.

Unfortunately, Dell desktop PC power card failed. I removed the hard drive and brought it to BestBuy store. Had to leave it for 24-48 hours for technician to transfer content to my new Dell BestBuy desktop PC. He assured me that all items would be wiped from their server a short time after the transfer to protect my security and privacy. It wasn't an inexpensive process but it was effective.

They were very through in transferring the data from my old PC to my new one. Reformatted the old hard drive to purge personal info.

They were able to successfully transfer my data and the turnaround was super quick. I only do 4 starts because if you happen to have the tool to convert whatever type of drive you have into USB and the ability to remove your hard drive then you could do this yourself for around 20$ and will save you 80$+, but in this case didn't have the particular tool for the drive and was in a rush and they were able to get it done for me!

I went to the store to see if my computer could be fixed. The Geek Squad member checked every way possible to repair it but it had a virus that destroyed the hard drive. She was able to get my family pictures off and onto a flash drive so I could still have them which was great. I can buy a new computer but the pictures were irreplaceable. This all took place in the store and I came back the next day to pick up the flash drive. There was a lot of pictures.

The Geek Squad staff was so helpful with getting my old data transferred to my new computer. Agent Rainy was the staff member that I had the most contact with and I found him friendly and knowledgeable. My transfer of data only took a couple of days and the Geek Squad texted me to advise my computer was ready to pick up. Agent Rainy spent quite a bit of time giving me a tutorial on my new computer right there in the store! He also gave me the 800 number I can use to call the Geek Squad for assistance since I purchased a one year subscription to Geek Squad service.

Imagine the frustration when your old laptop fails, crashes, conks out with all of your important files and graphic projects. Geek Squad explained how I could retrieve those files, asked how I wanted to proceed, and completed the job within my budget, before the time expected, and made me a happy camper Great job. I've used the service three times since purchasing the yearly subscription that has more than paid for it and I still have 11 more months of service. My hubby is happy, my son is happy, and I am happiest.

When I went to store to buy computer there was no one working anywhere around. I waited 15 minutes in the Apple computer area and still no one showed. I wanted the computer and went over to the Geek Squad desk to see if I could get some help. The rep there was busy with a customer but was able to also take care of my needs by taking me over to a rep who was working in the camera department. That guy answered my questions, helped me with a date for in-home installation and rang up my sale. He couldn't have been nicer or more helpful

I bought this external harddrive when my computer crashed and I lost a lot of documents. I called around about backup services but the people were either non helpful or it was too costly or too difficult to figure out. I came into my Best Buy store and talked to representative and he explained how easy this external hard drive was to hook up and use. I was still leery but I bought it and great news he was spot on. I was able to hook it up with no assistance and now I can relax knowing I will never use another document again. It's a great product!

The data backup was finished when I picked up my computers. The tech took the time to give me a thorough explanation of everything that was done. When I got home my new computer performed flawlessly.
