I brought my old PC in to Best Buy as it would not turn on at all. I knew going into the store that baring some miracle I would have to purchase a new one, my main concern was that I had documents, pictures and other things on my old PC, things that could not be replaced. However the Geek Squad agent after verifying my concerns about my computer told me that they could transfer my data from my old pc to my new pc. They were able to do so and I lost nothing. as an added bonus they also gave me the old hard drive for peace of mind.

Service was good. Replaced hard drive on my laptop. But the technician did not address or replace my battery or fan in the laptop. This was discussed during my consultation when I dropped off my laptop.

My experience with the Geek squad was very brief. The associate was courteous, professional, and accurate. He took care of my problems in a very timely manner. I was very pleased.

Normally I transfer data from my old computer to my new one, but this year has been challenging, and I just didn't have time to sit for a day to move everything over. The Geek Squad took care of this chore for me, and it was done very quickly.

The last time I replaced a desktop I did my own "copying." This time this was not possible because the motherboard would not support (I guess you could say the motherboard was broken) the monitor. So I had no choice but to use the Geek squad services to copy files, unless I wanted to start moving hard drives around - and, I did not have time for that. I do think the price they charged was reasonable. And, so far, I have been able to find everything I need (from the old hard drive).

Needed old crashed HP Pavillion hard drive transferred to newly purchased Lenovo. Was unfamiliar with Geek Squad scheduling of appointments and was at first frustrated, but a manager stepped in(realizing I had just purchased a new PC) and assisted the busy counter Geek man, enabling him to help move the line faster and enabled me to submit my laptop for servicing. They turned it around quickly and I was able to pick it up next day on my lunch hour, very accommodating & professional!

The data transfer service on my laptop was excellent. Everything was there and the procedure was very quick. The new laptop was delivered at the time indicated when it was left for data transfer. Can't do better than that. The only crazy part was all the system messages...bring this, show up at this time, etc. Everytime you turned around there was another message. They could've been easily combined to one confirmation of pick-up time message.

Agent took time to make sure to show me issue was resolved. He also made sure I could find my vacked up files, which were consolidated on Onedrive.

I love the new sleeker drive on which my data was saved. The Geek Squad technicians were able to recover all my data in less than a day.

My mom's computer's power supply died. We needed to transfer info from her hard drive to a new computer. We tried to do it ourselves with the purchase of a cable but, without a power source the project was destined to fail. We took the old hard drive, and new computer to the Geek Squad and they were able to transfer the information successfully in a couple of hours. All of the employees that we dealt with were very professional and did a great job! I would definitely recommend them!

Our 10 year old desktop failed so I made an appointment with Geek Squad for diagnosis. They took the unit in and quickly determined that while the failure was not catastrophic that it could fail again at any time. I decided to purchase a new one. I went over the specs with the tech, who helped me decide it would easily fit our needs. The data transfer was completed quickly and nothing was lost. Very pleased with the advice from the tech and speed of service.

The gentleman that helped us was great. He was professional, informative, friendly and proficient. I will definitely ask for him on my next visit.

excellent transfer of data etc. from old laptop to new purchase. I appreciated the thorough intake process, which enabled me to better understand the process, and I was able to identify the installation info. for programs and provide them to the geek squad so ultimately the new computer functions perfectly. They were also 2 days faster than the projected time, that was great also.

There were fees added every time I wanted something on the new computer, but everything that was really important was transferred from old computer and all set up on new computer, which I could not have done without specific instructions. Feel like I can always depend on the Geek Squad with our yearly contract. We were not told of the muti-year contract when we first signed up several years ago, which would have saved us some dollars.

The Geek Squad needs to be more transparent. First says it will take a couple of hours not a week to transfer data from one hard drive to another one and then they never available to talk to the customer except if I appear at the store in person. Don't seem to take phone calls at all. I am not very pleased with them. This is the second time I used them, and they failed to deliver on their promise to my satisfaction. The Geek Squad needs to become more customer-friendly and admit when we're unsure or make mistakes.

I was fortunate to get Andy as my Geek Squad Tech! He walked me through transferring my personal items onto my new laptop because I was traveling the next day after my purchase. When I returned a week later I brought my laptop in and he did a complete data transfer. When it came time to pick up my laptop Andy took time to walk me through the new features! He was very kind and patient. He has wonderful customer service skills. He went up and beyond what was expected to do!

After dumping coffee all over my laptop that I use daily for school, the Geek squad was able to salvage all my important files, including my huge end of year project that I had spent months working on. They were so kind and understanding, even though my laptop was still dripping when I brought it in.

Geek squad able to transfer all my data from my old computer to my new one. Excellent service and worth the money.
