Data was transferred as promised. Cost was a little steep for something, that basically, costs Best Buy zero.

When my old laptop would not even power up I was really concerned that the data/files would not be recoverable. I did have a backup of everything, but thought it would be worthwhile to see if the data could be retrieved. Geek Squad did a great job. Four Stars instead of 5 not because of anything wrong with the process or notifications of status, but because of the quoted time 5 days which was met.

I bought this service for my elderly dad so they would transfer his old computer hard drive to his newly purchased computer's hard drive. It was easy and they took card of loading everything he needed to his new computer. They were helpful and knowledgeable and when we had difficulty the next week at home with getting something to work on his new computer, we called and the representative was able to access the screen we were in and resolve our problem.

Bought a second monitor for my laptop but was having trouble getting it set up correctly. Geek Squad not only got it set up but also updated all my programs, cleaned up my hard drive, and backed up all my stuff. They explained everything in terms that even I could understand, made sure that I got the best price/deal on everything they did, and kept me updated with phone calls throughout the process. It took them 3 days but it was a holiday weekend. Thanks!

The data transfer from my old laptop to my new laptop went smoothly and it was ready the next day. Good job there. Communication could use some work, though. I was given an amount to pay, but it would have been nice to know that they had added in the charge for data transfer. I also asked a question about the anti-virus that was included that was answered incorrectly. I felt I was kind of given the brush off when I asked questions or expressed concerns.

I brought in my old computer. It was a dell. I needed them to get the information off that computer including my photos and they did. I now have a Mac. They got everything off and saved it in a Mac format so I can use it on my current computer. They were very thorough and had it done the next day. They also gave me the hard drive from my old computer and took care of getting rid of that computer.

Data transfer was successful. Everything from my old computer was on my new computer. It was completed earlier than date given Nolan was very helpful in explaning everything.

The computer is fast, easy to use, and the geek squad was the best in helping me get my files transferred and programs loaded.

Geek Squad did a very good job in transferring files from the hard disk of my old computer right into my new Dell Inspiron computer. I rate it 4 stars because the Microsoft Outlook files were not included for transfer. Fortunately, the old hard disk was in very good condition. Perhaps I could have notified Geek Squad that I had files from Microsoft Outlook and the data transfer would have been completed.

I purchased a new laptop and needed all the information from the old one transferred over. Geek Squad did it in no time and explained everything to me in clear understandable language. Glad I signed up for Geek Squad!

Super easy! Should have done this years ago! They were able to problem solve and save all of my old documents and pics from an old hard drive.

Heather helped me deal with a hack to my laptop (Frankie did the full scan, etc., but I never met him). She also helped me with what turned out to be a difficult process with my Keeper password manager, installed Webroot on my laptop and phone, and helped me figure out how to purchase Best Buy membership (at savings on the laptop work), even though we had credi card complications because of the hack. I think that amounted to 3 sessions in all. She was super helpful and patient and has exelllent people skills. I am very dependent ony laptop and grateful for being able to trust Geek Squad so highly. I had no idea about this resource before this happened and was pleasantly surprised b y the reasonable cost.

I cannot tell you how upset I was knowing that I had not backed up all my information on my computer and that I may lose everything. The gentleman that helped me at Best Buy he was amazing. He assured me that he would be able to backup everything on the computer if they had to go ahead and reset everything. It was an expensive and extremely easy and I am the happiest person on the planet. And the best part.,. They fixed my computer!

The Agents removed info from my wifes old computer that was dying and installed it in her new one. There seems to be ONE thing that was NOT done as requested and that is install Webroot Security on the new laptop. I only realized that oversight this after noon when someone attempted to install ransomware on it by attaching it to her Ancestry account.

My old 2002 Compac computer finally died. We had tons of important, but old data, photos, music and videos we'd filmed and could no longer gain access to any other way because the original photos were lost or damaged and the camcorder is also broken. Your staff was very thorough and was able to download everything on the computer to nearly fill the entire jump drive. So far, what we have needed from the old system has been on the jump drive and has been intact. Thank you, Best Buy Geek Squad!!!

The appointment was for an hour which was a great ability to do all the necessary work needed. Really appreciate that Sean was so capable and helpful.
