My old computer was getting slower and slower. On the recommendation of one of the agents I decided to have Geek Squad replace my hard disk drive with a solid state drive. I paid the extra to have them clone the drive and transfer everything to the new drive. In the past, I have tried to do it myself and lost data. When I got the computer back, the difference in speed was like night and day and not a glitch.

Easy to use and a great product and having the backup is good. A safety net is always a great thing to have

My wife's laptop ended its life prematurely. She was very concerned about all of the family pictures and documents, including historical items she scanned from a printer, she saved in the laptop. Went to the Geek Squad who explained their backup and retrieval process very professionally. Got a call only two days later, much earlier than the expected timetable, and all her pictures and documents were retrieved including her bookmarks. Great job Geek Squad.

My DVD internal drive did not consistently appear on my File Explorer drive. It would appear one time and then not appear a second time. Bruce and an assistant tried to determine why this occurred and concluded that it was an HP problem. I ended up buying an external DVD player. The DVD player was marked on the shelf at $28.00, but at check out it cost me $49.00

Data transferred successfully, although they had difficulty with getting email addresses to Outlook. Got home and found many were missing. I was there longer than my hour appointment due to this difficulty. And, it is a little more difficult to get to the Office documents, as they were put on a second data drive - requires and extra step to find them.But, they are all there - a relief!

Transferred my data adequately and fairly quickly. However, they didn't install the anti-virus software as I had requested. Other than that, solid job. Next time I will bring it back if they don't install all the software.

My several-years-old laptop died, with a number of important family and vacation photos and important Word files on it. I purchased a new laptop, and Geek Squad Support transferred all my data from the old laptop to the new one and also installed all of the new software on the new laptop -- all in the same day. Geek Squad Support is, in my opinion, the greatest customer service there is.

Data Backup or Transfer (In Store) I didn't have time for them to transfer my info from one computer to another, but the tech wrote down for me step by step what to do on my own. Perfect instructions. I love the knowledge that Best Buy employees have. Love to shop there.

The data transfer took a little bit but got me very thing I needed from my old laptop. The agent that did it was super friendly and patient.

They were able to retrieve all my pictures and documents from my old computer. Ran into a small problem when I brought it home and couldn't find them. Had to bring it back in, but the guy was able to find them and put them in the right place. It was a step the person doing the transfer forgot. Other than that, happy to have all my stuff back! Had some very important spreadsheets on the old computer that I couldn't afford to lose.
