The agents is very good at what they do when it comes too tech work. for me that a plus.

I bought this service for my elderly dad so they would transfer his old computer hard drive to his newly purchased computer's hard drive. It was easy and they took card of loading everything he needed to his new computer. They were helpful and knowledgeable and when we had difficulty the next week at home with getting something to work on his new computer, we called and the representative was able to access the screen we were in and resolve our problem.

Bought a second monitor for my laptop but was having trouble getting it set up correctly. Geek Squad not only got it set up but also updated all my programs, cleaned up my hard drive, and backed up all my stuff. They explained everything in terms that even I could understand, made sure that I got the best price/deal on everything they did, and kept me updated with phone calls throughout the process. It took them 3 days but it was a holiday weekend. Thanks!

I brought in my old computer. It was a dell. I needed them to get the information off that computer including my photos and they did. I now have a Mac. They got everything off and saved it in a Mac format so I can use it on my current computer. They were very thorough and had it done the next day. They also gave me the hard drive from my old computer and took care of getting rid of that computer.

The agents transferred my data to my new computer. They were helpful from start to finish. They answered my questions and had it completed quickly. Thanks Geek Squad.

Best Busy staff and Geek Squad helped us purchase a new home computer and get it set up, including transfer of data from old computer. It was seemless and timely.

Data transferred successfully, although they had difficulty with getting email addresses to Outlook. Got home and found many were missing. I was there longer than my hour appointment due to this difficulty. And, it is a little more difficult to get to the Office documents, as they were put on a second data drive - requires and extra step to find them.But, they are all there - a relief!

Data Backup or Transfer (In Store) I didn't have time for them to transfer my info from one computer to another, but the tech wrote down for me step by step what to do on my own. Perfect instructions. I love the knowledge that Best Buy employees have. Love to shop there.

I cannot tell you how upset I was knowing that I had not backed up all my information on my computer and that I may lose everything. The gentleman that helped me at Best Buy he was amazing. He assured me that he would be able to backup everything on the computer if they had to go ahead and reset everything. It was an expensive and extremely easy and I am the happiest person on the planet. And the best part.,. They fixed my computer!

My old computer was getting slower and slower. On the recommendation of one of the agents I decided to have Geek Squad replace my hard disk drive with a solid state drive. I paid the extra to have them clone the drive and transfer everything to the new drive. In the past, I have tried to do it myself and lost data. When I got the computer back, the difference in speed was like night and day and not a glitch.

It was a fast and easy process. Cheaper than at other electronic stores ive been too. The customer service was great!

Bought new Acer Aspire R, had a few problems initially. All straightened out and data transfer fairly successful. The reason I don't buy my cell, laptop or ipad etc. online.... the Geek Squad. Not the first time they have assisted and shared knowledge. I am old 67 yrs, but not stupid, just tech illiterate and it helps to be treated like a human and not some idiot. That's why I keep coming back to best buy.

My old 2002 Compac computer finally died. We had tons of important, but old data, photos, music and videos we'd filmed and could no longer gain access to any other way because the original photos were lost or damaged and the camcorder is also broken. Your staff was very thorough and was able to download everything on the computer to nearly fill the entire jump drive. So far, what we have needed from the old system has been on the jump drive and has been intact. Thank you, Best Buy Geek Squad!!!

Easy to use and a great product and having the backup is good. A safety net is always a great thing to have

The laptop was faulty. Thought it was the hard drive but looks to be the motherboard. I thought the Geek squad would have worked faster but after 2 weeks the results came in, The Bizarre Total Tech Support. When I picked up the laptop the associate was trying to sell me the TTS. Obviously if the laptop couldn't be fixed WHY would you want it. He couldn't remove it from the final invoice so I had to jump through hoops by messaging, calling etc to remove the charge. This type of up selling was not needed. I agreed to the TTS when I arrived to place it in for repairs, hoping that IF it was fixed then the TTS would be applied to the laptop. If it didn't get fixed, why bother? I have over 35+ years in the computer industry and own over 8 machines at home, not counting tablets and other laptops. keep the points

Upon dropping off my old desktop computer for data/photo extraction the beginning part of this process was good. When my project/product was finished and it was time to pick up my items, the overall experience was horrible. I had to wait longer than my window of appointment time, there was no help for the person who was maning the Geek squad desk. Overall, thumbs down.
