Purchased a new desk top computer and geek squad transfered all data from old computer to the new one, Service completed in a timelee manner and provided excellant service.

My wife's laptop ended its life prematurely. She was very concerned about all of the family pictures and documents, including historical items she scanned from a printer, she saved in the laptop. Went to the Geek Squad who explained their backup and retrieval process very professionally. Got a call only two days later, much earlier than the expected timetable, and all her pictures and documents were retrieved including her bookmarks. Great job Geek Squad.

Had to purchase a new computer after old one bit the dust. I had the Geek Squad do the set-up and transfer of data. Any programs I had the disks for, they were able to set-up, except for a couple that had been downloaded from the internet with no disks which I lost. Lesson learned, pay the extra $ and order the disk! After bringing the computer home and plugging everything in, it was ready to go (except trying to figure out Windows 8!)

My several-years-old laptop died, with a number of important family and vacation photos and important Word files on it. I purchased a new laptop, and Geek Squad Support transferred all my data from the old laptop to the new one and also installed all of the new software on the new laptop -- all in the same day. Geek Squad Support is, in my opinion, the greatest customer service there is.

Our geek squad associate helped us when we had to replace our MacBook. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to help recover all of the information from our old unit and to help with the setup of the new unit.

I have never used a back up device to save my pictures, documents and such but after my computer crashed and had to go back to the manufacture for repair, I had to purchase a portable hard drive to save my files. I am so glad I did this and advise others to think about having a device backing up files. I learned a great lesson! My device does automatic updates and lets me know they are done. Great device!

My tower was stuck in a perpetual loop on startup and wouldn't stop. Geek squad eased my fear that I was going to lose all four years of data stored on it. They explained the process and had the data moved to an external hard drive way earlier than they estimated it to be complete. I would definitely recommend them if anyone needs help with their computer!

They were able to retrieve all my pictures and documents from my old computer. Ran into a small problem when I brought it home and couldn't find them. Had to bring it back in, but the guy was able to find them and put them in the right place. It was a step the person doing the transfer forgot. Other than that, happy to have all my stuff back! Had some very important spreadsheets on the old computer that I couldn't afford to lose.

Data transfer was completed much more quickly than expected. The Tech was professional and took his time reviewing the data transferred and gave me an overview of the laptop.

Things were done a little backwards at first when trading in old laptop for a newer one and doing a data transfer. Laptop decided on was not in stock and had to wait on it. New Laptop did not have the hard drive desired and ordered a new one. Once the old hard drive was back the back up and data transfer was done quickly. Enjoy using Geek Squad to help take care of my devices and moving data from old computers to new ones.

Great product to store and transfer backup data, although it is rather expensive.

Agent was able to recover my bad hard drive’s data and files using a portable storage disk I purchased at the store. Solution provided was much appreciated and faster than I expected.

The technician was very pleasant and helpful. She explained what was going to be done to my computer so I knew exactly what was being done.

I had a big problem with my operating system. They had to wipe my HD to fix the problem, but they backed up all my data files including emails stored on my computer's HD. I was able to retrieve some important stuff that saved me a lot of headaches. I strongly encourage you to allow them to do this if they ask. It is a little extra money, but well worth it.

So your laptop is old and funky. You go to Best Buy and purchase a new one. Now, how to transfer all those family pictures, your favorite music and your videos? You could spend all day transferring that data or you could have Best Buy's Geek Squad do it and guarantee the service. Meanwhile, you can go shopping, get your errands finished and come later to find all of your important work is now on your new computer. Thanks Geek Squad! No worries!

I needed to have work done on my computer, but didn't have time or motivation to perform the backup myself. Geek Squad did it for me! The last time I tried to back up my computer myself, key parts of my valued pictures and documents were not properly backed up. The Geed Squad backup is expensive, but at least I know my cherished pictures and documents are safely copied.
