The agents transferred information from my old computer to my new computer. They did a great job! My new computer has all of the same programs and operates the same as my old computer only better.

Things were done a little backwards at first when trading in old laptop for a newer one and doing a data transfer. Laptop decided on was not in stock and had to wait on it. New Laptop did not have the hard drive desired and ordered a new one. Once the old hard drive was back the back up and data transfer was done quickly. Enjoy using Geek Squad to help take care of my devices and moving data from old computers to new ones.

Bought new Acer Aspire R, had a few problems initially. All straightened out and data transfer fairly successful. The reason I don't buy my cell, laptop or ipad etc. online.... the Geek Squad. Not the first time they have assisted and shared knowledge. I am old 67 yrs, but not stupid, just tech illiterate and it helps to be treated like a human and not some idiot. That's why I keep coming back to best buy.

The agent moved all my files from my old iMac to the new MacBook, including copying files from my backup device and to the new MacBook and moving some other files from the old iMac to an external hard drive.

So your laptop is old and funky. You go to Best Buy and purchase a new one. Now, how to transfer all those family pictures, your favorite music and your videos? You could spend all day transferring that data or you could have Best Buy's Geek Squad do it and guarantee the service. Meanwhile, you can go shopping, get your errands finished and come later to find all of your important work is now on your new computer. Thanks Geek Squad! No worries!

My computer bit the dust so they transferred all the data to a thumb drive. Turned out I probably didn't need it but it is good to have the services.

My tower was stuck in a perpetual loop on startup and wouldn't stop. Geek squad eased my fear that I was going to lose all four years of data stored on it. They explained the process and had the data moved to an external hard drive way earlier than they estimated it to be complete. I would definitely recommend them if anyone needs help with their computer!

Upon dropping off my old desktop computer for data/photo extraction the beginning part of this process was good. When my project/product was finished and it was time to pick up my items, the overall experience was horrible. I had to wait longer than my window of appointment time, there was no help for the person who was maning the Geek squad desk. Overall, thumbs down.

Had to purchase a new computer after old one bit the dust. I had the Geek Squad do the set-up and transfer of data. Any programs I had the disks for, they were able to set-up, except for a couple that had been downloaded from the internet with no disks which I lost. Lesson learned, pay the extra $ and order the disk! After bringing the computer home and plugging everything in, it was ready to go (except trying to figure out Windows 8!)

This is the second time I have used the GEEK SQUAD at Best Buy to back up my computer. They did the work in less time than I had expected and were very good to help me understand what they had done. My computer was returned to me in great shape and everything had been backed up as expected. The GEEK SQUAD at Birdcage in Citrus Heights is very professional and the GEEKS are able to answer all my questions in simple layman's terms.

From the moment we walked into your store Matt, your sales rep, was very attentive. He asked questions about our needs, listened to our desires in a computer, took us to look at four or five different computers and explained in detail the features of each. He took the time to answer our questions with each computer. Finally, he discussed pricing with us along with payment options. Through the ordeal, Matt was courteous, professional, yet personable. We greatly appreciated Matt's knowledge and verbal communication skills that made decision making as simple as possible.

I am happy with my new solid state hard drive. The Geeks diagnosed my problem and fixed it. Yay!

I have never used a back up device to save my pictures, documents and such but after my computer crashed and had to go back to the manufacture for repair, I had to purchase a portable hard drive to save my files. I am so glad I did this and advise others to think about having a device backing up files. I learned a great lesson! My device does automatic updates and lets me know they are done. Great device!

Backup my old files just in case of need. The technician was professional and showed concern.

The laptop was faulty. Thought it was the hard drive but looks to be the motherboard. I thought the Geek squad would have worked faster but after 2 weeks the results came in, The Bizarre Total Tech Support. When I picked up the laptop the associate was trying to sell me the TTS. Obviously if the laptop couldn't be fixed WHY would you want it. He couldn't remove it from the final invoice so I had to jump through hoops by messaging, calling etc to remove the charge. This type of up selling was not needed. I agreed to the TTS when I arrived to place it in for repairs, hoping that IF it was fixed then the TTS would be applied to the laptop. If it didn't get fixed, why bother? I have over 35+ years in the computer industry and own over 8 machines at home, not counting tablets and other laptops. keep the points

Both geek squad technicians we were associated with were very helpful and assisted us with everything we needed done.

Geek Squad had to resolve an issue my PC was having in completing a recent Windows security update that did not finish & reverted changes (was stuck in a loop). Before resolving they suggested that they perform a data back up to safeguard & preserve my data and family pics that were of great value to me and did not want to lose them. I appreciated their technical expertise & was grateful for their customer service!

I was told by the Internet Geek Squad person to bring my computer in because it was failing and getting ready to crash. That very night I couldn't even shut it off normally. I had to use the power button. When I brought it in, they said they could save all the information I needed, but they could not promise saving the emails and email addresses. I did lose them, but they told me up front. The machine is working like brand new now.

They were VERY helpful and got my new phone to work and once I got home I did find my QR code on the back of the Eufy unit. Then it worked just fine.
