The Geek Squad person ran diagnostics on my old computer and determined that the power supply was dead and the device was special and Best Buy could not obtain one. Therefore, that meant that they had to transferrer all of my old data from my old computer to my new computer. Nothing was lost and everything works perfectly.

Julie and the Geek Squad team were so very helpful when my laptop stopped working. They pulled all of my data which was invaluable. Then Julie helped identify a laptop that would be comparable to the one I had. Amazing service! Thank you.

My mother board died on my laptop but they were able to retrieve my files...excited about that...had lots of pictures I hadn't download yet. Have used Geek Squad for years...have always gotten me out of a bind when my computer locked up on me a couple of times, not recognizing my printer time after time, etc. Glad to get rid of that lemon of a laptop!

The entire Geek Squad crew at Best Buy in North Haven, CT is outstanding! Every individual is friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. They all know what they are doing!

I bought this PC on line I did not have the option of picking it up at the local store. I paid for Geek Squad support. I am not an IT person, I believe in paying “Professionals” for specialized service. It was ”Eligible” for GEEK Squad set up so I had to wait for it to be delivered to my home, then take it to the local store and drop it off for set up, 50 miles round trip, twice. After I finally got it home I found that GEEK Squad failed to set up the files correctly This CP has a 125 Gig SD drive for processing and a Larger Hard disc drive for storage. The data was saved and transferred. but to the wrong drives. I had to take it back to them to get it correct another 50 mile trip, plus my time. When I got back home it still had issues I resorted to calling an IT savvy friend to get it right. I have used Geek Squad support numerous times in the past and been very pleased, this lack of professionalism is disappointing. If I only had this experience to base my review on it would be One Star. Now that it is set up correctly, it runs like a dream, love it.

Amazing! I purchased a new I and Mac and was able to transfer everything from my old Mac to the new computer. I am very pleased with the service that was provided all the information was in a folder on my desktop and the transfer was seamless! Thank you very much to the geek squad and to Best Buy for making this a wonderful experience.

I have had the Geek Squad transfer info/files from one lap top to another many times. Twice I transferred to Mac products and I had them partition the laptop and put windows on one side. They always do it perfectly, and it is an amazing deal. I know nothing about how computers work and simply want to run my programs with no hassles. Without Geek Squad I would be lost! They are simple the BEST and the prices are ridiculously low for the service they provide.

My service was a data backup transfer and i am satisfied with it all. I like how the rep explained everything to me even if they had to repeat it for me to 100% understand.

Geek Squad transferred almost all the data from my old desktop to my new Asus desktop in my home. Because I now have Windows 10 instead of Windows 7, a few of my items on disk would not transfer as this computer doesn't have a built-in disk player, so I had to purchase an external DVD writer to do the job. I really love the Geek Squad for all of their help.

This product is great for transferring data from one computer to the next. Convenient and fast.

Old computer had a hardware problem. I replaced it because it wasn't that expensive to start with. They transferred all my files from the old computer. I did have to download some of my program files again but the data files were ready to go. It was a much less stressful transition. It took about 24 hours to get it transferred and of course with a new computer I wanted it faster.

I loved picking up my new computer and having almost everything I wanted on it. I did take it back for some extra help. They said they would do their best to recover the data and see if they could get it to work with the program. They said it would take about 5 days. Well, in 24 hours they had it all working. I know the "Neat" program is a pain in the neck, but they recovered all my receipts and had it working.

The agent transferred the data from the old to the new desktop computer. He did not transfer any app programs including Microsoft which he did upon my request at the time of my pickup of my computer.

My ol d laptop suddenly died, and there was no video. Geek Squad advised that it would cost more (IF they could even get parts for an 8 year old computer) than it would be for a new laptop. They said they MIGHT be able to migrate the files from the old computer's hard drive onto the new computer I bought. Well, they did a good job and saved all of my files onto the new computer. Good guys and quick service.

The technician was very pleasant and helpful. She explained what was going to be done to my computer so I knew exactly what was being done.

This is a good product to have in case your computer crashes or gets a virus like mine did. I almost lost all my data because we couldn't get to the files or the backup on the computer. Won't be putting myself in that position again. However, you do need help if you are like me and not computer savvy, when setting it up and checking to make sure it is creating backups.

Was hoping that the data transfer would take less than four days, but you guys kow what you're doing. Should have listened to my guy Chavez when he suggested I start up the laptop to make sure there were no problems. Had to come back to solve a small log-in problem.

The agent looked at my problem--there was not being enough space in my computer for all that I wanted to have on board and suggested several options. He was able to explain how to remedy the situation and provided a range of price for each. I am grateful for his help

While always being a bit hesitant at ensuring that my back-ups are backed-up and those backed-up too, this service was just what I needed to settle my anxieties. BestBuy made it more than easy to complete the data transfer and at the reduced price for purchasing the computer at the same time all made it a better deal. I can now rest assured that everything I was using will now be there to use again. Phew!

This data retrieval saved me !! My laptop could not be charged and the battery was dead. I needed my case study for grad school. The Geek Squad saved the day!!!
