A virus got past my antivirus software & did a number on my laptop. The techs at Geek Squad were able to save my files before cleaning out the malware -- they had to come as close to reformatting the hard drive as you can without actually performing one -- before loading all of my software and files back on. If they hadn't been able to back up my files, I don't know what I would have done. I can't say enough good things about the Geek Squad techs or their services.

This is a good product to have in case your computer crashes or gets a virus like mine did. I almost lost all my data because we couldn't get to the files or the backup on the computer. Won't be putting myself in that position again. However, you do need help if you are like me and not computer savvy, when setting it up and checking to make sure it is creating backups.

The Geek Squad person ran diagnostics on my old computer and determined that the power supply was dead and the device was special and Best Buy could not obtain one. Therefore, that meant that they had to transferrer all of my old data from my old computer to my new computer. Nothing was lost and everything works perfectly.

From the time we walked into the store, the sales agent was knowledgable and friendly. He answered all our questions and didn't seem rushed to help someone else. He spent the time necessary to ensure a smooth transition. He also made suggestions that I didn't know was available. The Samsung tablet was easy to use and set up. Having a Samsung phone made this a seamless transition. The quality is superb and the value we received for the money spent as second to none

The Geek Squad did an excellent in-store service job of transferring all of my data from my previous laptop to my new laptop that I had just purchased in the store. I was thrilled (and relieved) to see everything that had been on my previous laptop on my new one and it was done in two days!

My desktop stopped working. Even though I have backed up a few days earlier, for my own ease of mind I had Geek Squad back up for me. They were able to access the hard drive & I knew I had a complete systems backup. Luckily I did not lost any data when the mother board was replaced. I would have been devastated if I had lost pictures and other data. I have depended on Geek Squad since 2009 and have never had a problem.

Excellent work done by geek squad. They were professional and very timely.

We will know better as time progresses. We usually have a good experience with Geek.

Amazing! I purchased a new I and Mac and was able to transfer everything from my old Mac to the new computer. I am very pleased with the service that was provided all the information was in a folder on my desktop and the transfer was seamless! Thank you very much to the geek squad and to Best Buy for making this a wonderful experience.

The agents took time to do the data transfer and add Microsoft and McAfee as well. Tommy and Javier were so helpful and patient with us.

My mother board died on my laptop but they were able to retrieve my files...excited about that...had lots of pictures I hadn't download yet. Have used Geek Squad for years...have always gotten me out of a bind when my computer locked up on me a couple of times, not recognizing my printer time after time, etc. Glad to get rid of that lemon of a laptop!

We had to use Geek Squad to backup and transfer our data that was stored only locally on my daughter's laptop when the laptop got damaged. It was a bit pricey, but GS kept us informed of the progress, fixed the laptop and transferred all the data, which is now stored in the cloud!

I presented my problem and the Best Buy team worked with me to pan a solution. I was happy with the service, however on pick up I had to make an appointment to pick up. The boy at the desk would not work with us because we were 30 minutes early even though he did not seem to be doing anything else other than waiting. So we shopped for 30 minutes, came back and had to wait because he was now busy with another customer.

I had an old computer that got the blue screen of death. So, I purchased a new computer from Best Buy, which is working great. And I had them transfer my data from my old hard drive (thank God it could be saved) to a memory device. They were quicker than they said it would take and I had been advised to purchase a larger memory device than I needed, so they called me and suggested a smaller one and gave me the refund. I was very happy with my whole experience!

Geek Squad transferred almost all the data from my old desktop to my new Asus desktop in my home. Because I now have Windows 10 instead of Windows 7, a few of my items on disk would not transfer as this computer doesn't have a built-in disk player, so I had to purchase an external DVD writer to do the job. I really love the Geek Squad for all of their help.

I was under the impression that all data..to include programs and printers would be transferred over and installed. it wasn’t until I picked my tower/computer that this wasn’t so. It was explained to me and I understood. after setting up my computer I saw that all my photos and favorites were transferred over.

They were able to recover and transfer all of my photos and videos from a destroyed laptop to a thumb drive.

I have had the Geek Squad transfer info/files from one lap top to another many times. Twice I transferred to Mac products and I had them partition the laptop and put windows on one side. They always do it perfectly, and it is an amazing deal. I know nothing about how computers work and simply want to run my programs with no hassles. Without Geek Squad I would be lost! They are simple the BEST and the prices are ridiculously low for the service they provide.
