I loved picking up my new computer and having almost everything I wanted on it. I did take it back for some extra help. They said they would do their best to recover the data and see if they could get it to work with the program. They said it would take about 5 days. Well, in 24 hours they had it all working. I know the "Neat" program is a pain in the neck, but they recovered all my receipts and had it working.

This product is great for transferring data from one computer to the next. Convenient and fast.

My ol d laptop suddenly died, and there was no video. Geek Squad advised that it would cost more (IF they could even get parts for an 8 year old computer) than it would be for a new laptop. They said they MIGHT be able to migrate the files from the old computer's hard drive onto the new computer I bought. Well, they did a good job and saved all of my files onto the new computer. Good guys and quick service.

Had several questions about buying a non-smart TV for my 97 year old Mom, employee Diego was super helpful, very informative and opened my eyes to many choices.

While always being a bit hesitant at ensuring that my back-ups are backed-up and those backed-up too, this service was just what I needed to settle my anxieties. BestBuy made it more than easy to complete the data transfer and at the reduced price for purchasing the computer at the same time all made it a better deal. I can now rest assured that everything I was using will now be there to use again. Phew!

When to check my computer because it was lagging and taking too much time to boot up. Also decided to upgrade to a Solid State Drive. Agent that received computer was excellent and attentive. Recommended an excellent hard drive. Agent who worked on the computer was extremely helpful and professional. Recommend the Geek Squad for all computer related needs.

I was hesitant to use a service for something that I could do for myself. But my time is valuable and the Geek Squad did a great job which allowed me to do other things. I gave it 4 stars because the set-up appointment lasted 2 hours! (Get this down to 30 minutes and it’ll be 5 stars.)

Had a breakdown of a badly made thumb drive and the Geek Squad in the store helped me find a better quality replacement, then transferred all data so I lost nothing! Excellent service

Kelly in Santa Cruz did a great job setting me up with my new laptop She was patient, as I am a bit technologically challenged. She got me started with Windows 10. Kicking and screaming. She was able to upload the data I had backed up and got things moving. A week or so later I had to reach the Second Level Geek Squad to connect a Canon Printer. Took them about two hours, but they did it!

The time and price not so great but able to retrieve my documents and pictures from my laptop that crashed.

The Geek Squad service is always great. This service was a little high priced for the 15 minutes it took. No discount even though I just bought my new PC through the store and even used their finance program. It was hassle free though so I guess a decent $ for time swap. Felt a little abused but I am over it and not enough to keep me from coming back to the store.

With PC Problems from time to time we have always purchased a service plan and it has always proved beneficial as there is always something that comes up you need a Geek to fix. Backup service was wonderfully helpful to ensure our data was backed up and avail when we had to replace a failing hard drive. The data was still accessible and saved before any loss. A great relief.

It was such a relief to get my information transferred from my old computer that crashed to my new computer. Job well done.

I dealt mostly with Dawn on the Geek Squad. She was extremely helpful in locating my new laptop (it had not yet been delivered to the store) and was instrumental in getting the help I needed to retrieve data from my dead laptop and transferred to my new one. It was all done in one day. Several Geek Squad staffers were involved and I was extremely with the efficient and friendly service.

Convenient transfer if you buy a computer with them but a bit pricey

When our 5 year old HP Envy laptop stopped working, Geek Squad diagnosed that it was due to a bloated internal battery that was about "to explode." Due to its age, we decided to purchase a new computer. While we were not happy to incur this unexpected expense we were glad that the Geek Squad was able to retrieve the data and transfer it to the new computer. PLEASE TAKE NOTE TO THE REASON WE WERE EXTREMELY UNHAPPY. WE WERE PAYING FOR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY WHICH WE FOUND OUT ON THAT DAY, WAS FOR GEEK SQUAD SOFTWARE SERVICES ONLY AND NOT FOR ANY HARDWARE (WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS ALSO COVERED). THE COMPUTER SALES MANAGER SAW HOW UNHAPPY WE WERE AND TRIED TO HELP US OUT BY TAKING $100 OFF A NEW COMPUTER. IN SUMMARY, WE FOUND THE GEEK SQUAD SERVICE TO BE EXCELLENT BUT DISCOVERED THAT THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTIES ARE OVERPRICED AND VERY DECEPTIVE AS TO WHAT THEY COVER.
