I was hesitant to use a service for something that I could do for myself. But my time is valuable and the Geek Squad did a great job which allowed me to do other things. I gave it 4 stars because the set-up appointment lasted 2 hours! (Get this down to 30 minutes and it’ll be 5 stars.)

I don't want to rave, but I have to. I dropped off my new lap top that I just purchased from Best Buy along with my old lap top that doesn't show a screen to have my files transferred. I was told it would take 3 days to complete. It was in the afternoon when I dropped it off. I got a call the very next day after lunch that my computer was ready. How awesome was that for my first encounter with the Geek Meek Squad!

Can't say enough about how great the Geek Squad is! I am completely computer illiterate and they always come to the rescue.

Did a wonderful job couldn't be happier, well I could have but not Geek Squads fault as Best Buy doesn't use Norton idk why but got hold of Norton for install b4 using np tyvm GS job well done as I asked for all my old favs and tunes to be imported and they plus pics are all there. now have 80 buck lite catcher lol webroot maybe an option to apply it as credit on payment would be nice . oh well,, Thanks Again B

The Geek Squad service is always great. This service was a little high priced for the 15 minutes it took. No discount even though I just bought my new PC through the store and even used their finance program. It was hassle free though so I guess a decent $ for time swap. Felt a little abused but I am over it and not enough to keep me from coming back to the store.

Dropped off computer for data transfer and cleaning hard. Old computer recycled.

The Geek Squad was unable to obtain my data without going into greater expense. However, I was very thankful they attempted to..There were pictures my husband had taken, before he passed away and my daughter and I would have liked to have been able to obtain them..Sure let me know that you need to back up or store your importand data and pictures elsewhere..My computer crashed without warning...

My old computer crashed and had data on it I had not moved to a thumb drive. The Geek Squad was successful in moving that data to a new thumb drive for me to put on my newly purchased Best Buy laptop. I was kept informed throughout the entire process each step of the way. Not only were the people working hard for my benefit, the price for their labor was much less than I had anticipated it would cost.

Had data backed up (a lot of it) due to laptop issue where by the hard drive had to be replaced, battery replaced and Windows 10 re-installed. The backup performed was on point (thorough and complete). I was pleasantly surprised that all my files were put back in their original file locations post all completed repairs and Windows 10 re-install. Kudos Best Buy / Geek Squad! We were having computer problems and took out laptop to the geek squad. They were able to fix the problem immediately. We were also in the market for a new laptop and they recommended one to us, got us to a sales clerk and we had purchased our new computer within minutes. We left our computers with the geek squad and they transferred all data for us. With our protection plan we paid nothing additional for the service. I will add that they were very patient and understanding of our lack of computer knowledge.

The GEEK SQUAD in-service tech did was successful removing an item on my laptop and completed a needed clean-up.

Convenient transfer if you buy a computer with them but a bit pricey

Your in-house Geek Squad provided the set up and data transfer the day I purchased my new computer. It was ready the next day. That saved me so much time and thought. I'm not good at that kind of stuff

Data Backup Or Transfer At first i didn't want to spend the money. After thinking about how i had to do nothing but drop off my computer and pick it up when they called me it was worth the time. When i picked up my computer and came home everything they said was going to be done was done and i will do it again when and if i need to. The back up was complete and i would recommend this to everyone to save time.

I have delt with the "Geeks" in the past but this last time I had been with out my Laptop for about 1 week, due to the uninvited visit by Hurricane IRMA which played with the hard drive. I had purchased a new asus LAPTOP AND THEY TRANSFERRED MOST OF WHAT THEY COULD,That said the Geek Squad at my local Best Buy were so accommodating and helpful that I give them a shout out and huge thank you.

Great service. Quick and semless transfer. No errors and everytthing very easy to find.

Within 1 day, all requested files from old Windows 7 system transferred over, and, Tech spent time going over main new features. Very pleased. Have been using them for @ 15 years for computer, laptop and phone help. 67 years old. Some tech background, but hard to keep up with constant change. They certainly make it much more easy !!

Had a breakdown of a badly made thumb drive and the Geek Squad in the store helped me find a better quality replacement, then transferred all data so I lost nothing! Excellent service

The agents took time to do the data transfer and add Microsoft and McAfee as well. Tommy and Javier were so helpful and patient with us.
