I was initially skeptical about entrusting anyone other than the people at Apple to transfer all my pics, songs, docs, etc. from my old to my new iMac. But when the sales person told me that the transfer was "free", I thought I would try. Really glad I did because Shaun did an awesome job. All my files were transferred over flawlessly and the transition to my new iMac has been problem free.

It is always nerve wracking for me to take my PC in for repair. Since it cannot be determined what the diagnostic analyzer will reveal, I have a better sense of security having it professionally backed up when the chances of losing data is more imminent. I have used external hard drives, but have had some issues so this service does give me peace of mind.

I was obliged to pay for this service to simply transfer my original data to a new computer. Although it was done rather quickly and the team was nice, I think this service should be free for people purchasing a new computer. There WAS some loss of applications so be aware of all the ones you have.

Setting up an appointment was easy online and the agent was ready. Our laptop screen was cracked and they assisted with the backup and shipping off for repairs under warranty. Received timely text updates on progress. Got it back in the quoted timeframe with needed additional repairs. Easy pick up. Excellent customer service. Works great.

After my wife's computer failed because of hardware, the Geek Squad transferred some data and installed Webroot anti-virus software and sent the hard drive off to determine if data could be saved. We have met with their representatives several times in the New Braunfel's store and online and have been pleasantly surprised with their service and knowledge and excellent attitude. THANK YOU

Did a very good job loading info on my new laptop. Need more training on upgraded programs ie. Microsoft Office. We signed up for 1 hour training with Geek Guys. Very expensive. We would like to have this training in private room, not out in the Geek Squad area. We are afraid their will be to many distractions. Suggest Best Buy create a private room for these training sessions.

Some tech persons are more helpful than others. After going through three, finally found one who was excellent and took great care in assisting me.

I really enjoyed working with the Geek Squad when I purchased a new computer. They transferred the data from my old computer. They were friendly, professional, helpful, answered questions, and worked in a timely manner. One guy wasn't sure about one thing. Perhaps needed a bit more training. But overall it was a great experience working with the geek squad. I will definitely visit them again. Thank you.

My old computer died without warning and even though I had an external back up, I hadn't done it recently enough. I bought a new computer at Best Buy and in the same day they were able to transfer all of my files from the old PC to the new one. They were very personable and professional, the data was ready exactly when promised, and they did a walk through of where the data resided on my new PC.

A member of the Geek Sq Could uad took my iPad and stripped everything off to the bare bones. Put back on the original applications just like I asked. I’m very satisfied with their speed to deliver a product that does everything I want. I hope Best Buy appreciates the quality of workmanship and speed in which they handle their customers!

I had my doubts that the geek squad could transfer my data from an old hp laptop to a less older Mac Pro . I was truly surprised that they were able to transfer all of my data, pictures I tunes with no problem. I was so afraid that my old laptop would crash I would have to pay much more. Needless to say I am ecstatic that I now have them transferred. Kudos to the geek squad.

Wanted all my info from my old (2009) computer put on the new one and Geek Squad did a fabulous job. Took time to show me how to find things and went the extra mile with me. They are the people to go to when you have a computer problem or question. Bought the plan so that I can have my computer cleaned up (good for 3 computers in my house) and used it many times in the past.

Data backup was easy and informative. I would use this service again. Great service

This backup was went well. My only problems with it was having to keep making the journey to Best Buy over and over because the closest one is far from where I live. I had to make the journey each time to drop my laptop and get it sent for diagnosis, to drop off the flash drive for them to put the backup data in, and finally to get the flash back. The files were intact when I got them and everything was in order.

They went overboard to transfer data and to convert files. Plus did it quickly.

The Geek Squad have been fair and forthright with me in this and other problems, and have satisfied me with resolution or no charge. THAT IS FAIR! Their individual and team expertise is varied and has met my needs. My PC unit was contaminated and virtually a burnout beyond repair. Geek Squad did all they could for me in a thorough analysis and retrieved all they could in a backup of files, etc. so that my loss was not total. Price and approach both were fair. None of us can be happy with toasting a PC, but I'm happy to salvage what I could and I was given recommended options to move on to a new PC. The Geek Squad is a much value-added service ever since the day that Best Buy went with that on-site service within their stores.

I normally don't use geek squad as I do all my own repairs but I was just finishing moving and out of desperation had to use the service to meet a deadline. A task that would take me no more than an hour took two days even though I was literally the first person through the door and the file transfer they were doing for me was started while I was there to make sure it would work. I explained before paying that I only want to do it if I can have it the same day as I was on a deadline and that didn't happen. Next time I will just do the two-day shipping on amazon to get the parts/equipment I need and do it myself. For a brief positive the files I asked for were retrieved correctly and if you are not in a rush, and not sure how to do it yourself geek squad is a viable option just wish there was some hustle in the work.

My Apple laptop failed to go beyond boot-up. It needed extensive work, data backup and transfer, along with installation of anti-virus software. Mr. Zia explained the whole process and recommended a yearly Geek Squad Membership, which has paid for itself. Follow-up emails advised me when work was begun and completed. This service is good to have but they are constantly busy and you have to wait a lot at the store. They said it would only take a day to transfer the data from my old computer to my new one but I have a lot of info and it took several days. It did save me the time of having to look up how to do the transfer and it would have taken me a lot longer to do. So over all it was satisfactory.

I was so happy that they were able to save all of my files after my hard drive crashed and needed to be replaced. They were able to get me everything back and they backed it all up to my external hard drive for a price. However, I did not realize that they were not going to transfer all the files back to my computer when the hard drive was replaced. I had to spend hours doing it myself.
