I'm glad I backed up my files with Best Buy in Texas first before I shipped off my computer to Dell. Dell fixed my motherboard but then shipped my computer back to me to a Best Buy in Oklahoma instead of to me here in Texas! Ugh! It's been three weeks and they can't seem to find my computer to get it back to me and are giving me the run around! Errrrr.... Best Buy is great, Dell isn't!!!

Having Geek squad transfer my files from my old PC to the new one was great. It saved me from spending hours trying to figure out how to do it and making sure it worked. This made the transition from old to new much easier. I was a little disappointed in how long it took them to do this - 3 days.

The staff at the Centennial Hills location in Las Vegas were polite, very knowledgeable and patient. I felt very comfortable and confident that I was getting the service I needed. Everyone I met was helpful.

Quick, efficient, and honest. Let me know they could save all my data for me even tho my comp was damaged.

Data transfer done. In addition, the data was available on SSD drive and I was able to sort thru. I did find one file that I really found beneficial, it was a old theme setting on MS7 (Japan Auturmn) that did not appear in MS10. I click on it and lo and behold it loaded and I had my favorite them back! This is very important since MS10 lacks and vibrant themes or color palette.

Geeks helped to save data from a crashed laptop quickly and set my mind at ease.

Geek Squad recommended transferring data after diagnostics showed that my laptop suffered from a blown motherboard. I didn't think this was possible in this situation! Needless to say I was extremely happy & relieved to have this service available. If Geek Squad had not suggested I would have not known; the loss of hundreds of photo's and files was going to be heartbreaking!

I purchased a new laptop that was Windows 8.1. I had been an XP holdout so that's a little bit of a leap. I didn't want to have to learn a new operating system while also trying to move all my data from my existing tower to my new laptop so I paid to have the Geek Squad do the data transfer for me. I left my shiny new laptop and my tower with them and they called me only a couple hours later to say it was done. Fabulous!

If you are cautious or inexperienced in transferring data from your old computer this is a good buy. Geek Squad was very responsive in letting me know what they could or could not transfer. You may need to inquire where Windows 10 has placed your files. I had to look quite a while to find the 330+ music CDs that were uploaded to my computer.

I bought a new computer and gave my old one to my wife to replace hers. I had the Geek Squad remove the data from my computer and put it on my new computer and then take the data from my wife's old computer and install it on my old computer. Confusing enough? They called me the next morning and told me the computers were ready. They even disposed of the old computer for me. Great job guys!

The hard drive began having error messages and the Geek Squad tech told me I could replace the original hard drive with an ssd at a very low price. I bought the replacement ssd and left my computer with the Geek Squad and drove home. In a couple of hours I received a call to pick up my computer. I couldn't be happier with the service and convenience of the service at Best Buy.

David Ledbetter our friendly sales person was so helpful. He was able to help us with acquiring a printer that was comparable with our computer. Also your Geek Squad did a fantastic job backing up all our information that was on the old tower. Since we had to drive to Chattanooga to get it and wait to have the information transferred that day it was great. That way we didn't have to make another long trip to the store.

The Geek Squad transferred all of my husband's data from his older Surface to the new Surface Pro 4 that I bought him for his Birthday. It was so simple and quick having them do it so I didn't have to spend hours of my time doing it and worry I might have missed something. It worked perfectly and he loves his new Surface and transitioned to it seamlessly thanks to the Geek Squad!

Geek Squad can successfully backup and transfer your data, provided you give(ergo purchase) the necessary tool for them. Be warned though, if you want them to install an existing drive onto a new PC, if the PC's compatibility and licensing takes precedence, you will find that the drive you requested be entered will not be there. They store their drives using the standard amount of care, using anti-static bags.

The staff at the Geek Squad is very professional. They strive to provide superior customer service by listening to customer's concerns and concentrating on solving the issue quickly. I only wish they did not use an outsourced service. When I called, I "tried" talking to a representative. Unfortunately, the language barrier made it very difficult to communicate.

This 13" laptop is my fourth Dell computer. It's ease of use and quick response time is wonderful. Becoming accustomed to Windows 10 has been challenging but the voice feature and navigation of the computer has helped with my transition. The exceptional battery life, HD screen and light-weight feature make this laptop my favorite one so far.

The agents reviewed and sent them to my new iMac. Everything I wanted was sent to my new device. .

I took my 11 year old computer to the geek squad to recover my precious photos and they were great at helping me recover all of them on a computer that was about to die completely. Mission accomplished as always. Definitely worth the $100 data transfer. All our wedding photos and many many precious memories I was able to get backed up on Google, plus now I have everything on a flash drive.

The Geek Squad did an excellent job transfering and backing up the files from my prior computer to the new computer. When I brought my new computer home, it was ready for me to get working without any interruption to my workflow. I would highly recommend the Geek Squad to anyone requiring this service. They are always willing to answer questions and provide additional information.
