Smooth transfer of all files from old laptop to new. Tech was great at making suggestions on how to clean up files and maximize storage space.

The tech transferred all of my data to the new laptop I purchased. Laptop was ready the next day for pickup.

Being somewhat technologically challenged, I ponied up the $100 to have Geek Squad transfer my data from my old iMac to my new one. In about 48 hours, my new iMac was all set up. Some have told me that it's a snap to transfer data, but I wasn't sure I had the right programs or cables to do so. Saved me the headache, and luckily, BestBuy is only a couple of miles from home.

The agent checked a laptop of mine and saw that it needed fixing.

Data recovery was done in one day - much appreciated the fast service I just wish it could be accomplished without all the programs not being transferred also. A big chore for me and since I'm not a Techie -difficult, but it wasn't impossible to do it just takes me a while to understand the how and the instructions.

The Geek Squad was able to retrieve data from a dead laptop that another company couldn't. Very helpful and nice!

The 400+-GB hard drive on my 6-year-old Windows 7 laptop crashed unexpectedly. The pros at Geek Squad were able to successfully recover nearly all my data, and even reinstall Windows Media Player 12 and my 370-GB of music (.wav) files! Even better, I was able to negotiate this as a freebie with the purchase of my new laptop! Kudos to Best Buy, and the incredible IT team.

This is a great service. If you are not tech savvy like me this service is great. Bought a new laptop and they transferred all my data from my old to new. Saved me the hassle trying to figure it out myself.

My computer crashed night before out of town trip. Called Pensacola store was told to drop it off and they would know what was wrong in a few days. Called Spanish Fort store and they suggested bringing it in and when I did, they counseled me and it resulted in a transfer of data to a new computer(sale for them) and kept my old one to fix. I am using it for this review now.

Perfect service. Helping with a smile. Received computer faster than expected. Although there was a chance I would not get what I wanted from the data transfer, geek squad made it work and I received what I needed.

My computer suddenly broke but thankfully Best Buy was able to get my photos and documents off of the computer onto a portable hard drive. The only downside is that it cannot be accessed by Bluetooth or airdrop so I have to plug it into my Mac in order to access the data. I am very happy that they were able to transfer the data and it was done in less than 24 hours

The agent was friendly and helpful in solving my problem. She explained the different options to save and transfer the data on my computer before repairing it and at the end suggested the safest and fastest way to recover my data. I got my data on an external memory in about 5 days.

The service was informative since I got all my questions answered, however, due to my particular situation I was not able to get a data backup/transfer completed. They were very knowledgeable about why they couldn't provide the service and I was refunded.

My laptop died. It wouldn't power up at all. I took it to a specialty battery shop it still would not power up. I was working on a major research assignment for grad school and everything appeared to be lost. Explained the issue to Geek squad. They recovered the data and saved in a folder on the new laptop that I purchased. I am eternally grateful. The process took 24 hours.

I've subscribed to the Geek Squad annual protection programs for years. They've never let me down. Don't try to transfer the data from an old PC to a new one by yourself. They see and know things the layman can't begin to imagine. If you buy a new desktop or laptop that is replacing an older one, have them make the data and program moves for you. It's worth every penny!!

The customer service is very satisfying every time I come back. Help with the purchase of the flash drive and tech support was a nice experience. Thank you again.

I brought my old laptop with me when I intended to purchase a new one which was a very good idea. I was able to leave it with the Geek Squad with m new Asus computer while they transferred all of my data ... invaluable service which saved me many hours of work transferring stuff and not really knowing what I was doing. It was well done and I was very satisfied.

GEEK SQUAD TECHS AT MONROEVILLE PA STORE ARE ALWAYS TOP SHELF. THEY RECOMMENDED A GOOD EXTERNAL DRIVE. THEY SAVED ALL THE DATA I WOULD HAVE LOST WHEN MY OLD COMPUTER WENT TO A SCRAP PILE. "JORDAN", A TECH, ALSO SPENT EXTRA TIME WITH ME DURING PICK UP TO SHOW ME HOW TO VIEW EVERYTHING. I ALWAYS RELY ON BEST BUY FOR EVERYTHING.

I paid to let the Geek Squad transfer my data from my old computer to my new computer. I am happy with this decision because I hate dealing with computers. The only thing I wish I had been asked is what name to use for system administration -- they put me as "Owner" and I can't change that. I don't like being called "Owner" - I really wanted my name.

Replaced hard drive and backed up data. Very pleased with service level
