The Geek Squad agent came to my house after I had been hit by lightning. They reconnected my computer and my new tv. I was very well satisfied with their work...

For the most part the staff was very good. They appeared to know what they were doing. When a problem arose they promptly contacted me and we resolved the issue. Work was accomplished before they said it would be finished.

I love Best Buy's Geek Squad service. They are informative, efficient, and very patient. They made me very comfortable and taught me how to use my new MacBook Pro. They didn't make me feel like I couldn't learn and they taught me how to navigate my new laptop so easily. They are a great service and are a major reason why I buy my tech products from Best Buy. Love them!

I thought all my data was lost when my old iMac crashed. The Geek squad was able to retriev all data and reansfer to my new iMac, Thanks guys. Great job.

Because my old computer's motherboard had fried, I was left with the doubt that I may not be able to have full recovery of everything. Fortunately, the Geek Squad verified that my hard drive was still safe and intact, and they were able to do a data backup and transfer onto my new computer within 24 hours of purchasing it. I was very pleased with their effectiveness and kindness.

I can't say how happy enough I am with the Brick NJ Squad for dealing with our Toshiba laptop. It updated itself to Windows 10 without our involvement and the laptop never worked again. The Squad was fast and professional and backed all our photos 15K which showed the birth and growth of our 3 kids. Windows is garbage and we threw our laptop out the window afterwards.

Agents were very courteous and helpful with setting up my computer transfer after my old one crashed. Explained everything to me so I understood what was going on.

I purchased a new desktop Mac Computer, as our 7 year old Macbook Pro was getting very tired. We had the Geek Squad transfer all the data, software and files. It took them just the afternoon of the purchase day - it was ready when the store opened the next morning. The new computer was all packed back in the box just like new. Nice job...although the $80 charge was just a little pricey I thought.

Geek Squad did a great job, as always. I thought all my data was being backed up on my Seagate external drive, so it would be no problem doing the data transfer to a new computer. No such luck! Geek Squad did the data transfer and made sure that my external drive would be working on my new computer setup. They also helped me thru other issues that were a big help. Definitely a thumbs up from me!

I love my new ipad. I am still learning about all the apps and all the games. I love that I can immediately put appointments on my calendar and don't have to put it on a piece of paper. Then to try to remember to place it on my calendar at home. I love that I can ask Siri any questions. It's nice when you are in the car alone and get lost, you can just push a button. She is always there for you!

Quick, efficient, and honest. Let me know they could save all my data for me even tho my comp was damaged.

Overall I was pleased with the Geek Squad data transfer, but I did have some items that either did not transfer or could not be accessed. I did contact Geek Squad through the chat service and had two problems corrected. I have not had time yet to investigate some of the others, but the two Geek Squad techs were extremely helpful.

Overall I have been pleased with this service from Best Buy. They fulfilled my request and met my expectations of extracting the data we wanted to recover. My only concern is the price. $99 seems a bit high for this service. In the end, the piece of mind knowing my data was recovered has overshadowed this concern of price.

This was for my wife's computer, which she has the service contract on. When we went in the agent immediately popped up with 2 thing that were the ONLY things that could be wrong. I knew immediately it was neither of these so let her go ahead with the analysis. My wife did not have a back up so we had one done. She has one now by my insistence. The computer was fixed and all has been OK since.

Geek Squad can successfully backup and transfer your data, provided you give(ergo purchase) the necessary tool for them. Be warned though, if you want them to install an existing drive onto a new PC, if the PC's compatibility and licensing takes precedence, you will find that the drive you requested be entered will not be there. They store their drives using the standard amount of care, using anti-static bags.

The service was great. The time it took to transfer my data was quick. The only downfall was that not all my data was transfered. No pictures or docs were transfered. Make sure you ask them to do it or you'll have to make another trip to have them correct it.
