I am a geek squad member in there repa0ir program. Had a crash after a Microsoft update & had to have computer rebooted. I was going to loose pictures & files but kinda felt at there mercy to save it with there service for 90 bucks. 16 gigs seems pretty pricy but they got the info along with my favorites on explorer

I needed my things transferred from one computer to another. They did most of it, but one program required a verification number that I didn't have with me. I would rather they did it, than myself, but I found the number & was able to add the other program at home. I surprised myself! Still, I'd leave it to the Pros.

Geek technician was extremely helpful and worked with me to ensure all data was transferred from my old computer. However, I was disappointed that I did not get a backup of the operating system on the new computer, which like the installation of Kaspersky I had to do after I realized it hadn't been done by Geek tech.

I purchased this, at the recommendation of the store rep, to back up my memory to move to my new lap top computer. It seems to work very well and I like the idea of having an additional copy of my important docs and pictures in case something goes wrong - technology is fickle - back up everything!

After my computer was compromised and I needed to have the virus removed, the data was removed and put back on the computer without any thing coming up missing.

I was totally freaking out because my Old Computer that went to computer heaven had over 10 years of work data on it. There was a 50/50 chance that the data would be retrieved. I trusted the team at Best Buy who were able to transfer my data and chose a great product to transfer the data to. I left my faith in the team's hands. GREAT JOB!! Thank you..

Power surge toasted mother board on our computer, even through surge protector. SSD hard drive was OK, so Geek Squad transferred our data from the old computer to a new one purchased at Best Buy. Fast service and all data, documents, etc. transferred successfully, on time, as promised. We were very pleased!

Geek Squad did a bang up job in transferring data from my old to new laptop. They did everything I asked. Answer all of my questions. And, let me sit off to the side while I checked everything out. Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly service.

I replaced a laptop and thought, I moved all the data over. After a few hours, I realized a problem occurred. Called the squad, set up an appointment and had them transfer ALL files and they had the laptop less then 24 hours. This is a service I would recommend to all to insure your data files are intact and usable.

Trying to create a slideshow and my computer crashed. I got lazy at backing up and was so worried I had lost my slideshow and a year's worth of photos and documents! Geek Squad was able to recover everything and move it to my external harddrive. Service was excellent and they were very helpful and quick.

I had a computer that I had thought for sure was done. I had reinstalled the OS on it more than once because of my kids playing around thinking they were coders. I took it to the geek squad and they were able to back everything up to a 2TB hard drive. I was able to see videos and pictures that I had not seen in years!! Thank you geek squad!!!

Data transfer was completed twice. Had purchased a Lenovo laptop from Best Buy . Data w as transferred. Laptop proved to be defective. Returned the laptop which was replaced by an Acer. Data was transferred. Currently rebuilding files. Data transfer was good. Hope this proves to be a good purchase..Might recommend BB to a friend. Geek Squad is great.

If you need help purchase the Geek Squad program. It is the best. The help at the Sherman Store was outstanding in helping me get my new computer set up. Could not have done it without them as they transferred all my documents from my prior iMac to my new iMac and removed all the documents that were not necessary. Hurrah for the Geek Squad!!!!!

I had an 8 yr old desktop that had some info I needed to keep, but it really needed to go. I finally took it in and the Geek Squad handled it all. I had to supply the backup medium (flashdrives) but they were able to sort and save docs on one, pictures on another and music on the last one. So far I haven't had a problem with using the flashdrives. Glad I finally got it done.

I had to go back to have this transfer re-done 3 different times, from one Mac to another. The first guy left out a lot of important items from the transfer (ie--didn't transfer contacts, etc). The second time they did all the photos but forgot the contacts AGAIN. Finally the 3rd time I got one of the senior members of Geek Squad and he had me sit there with him for almost two hours to make sure everything got transferred correctly. So this whole process took over a week and was frustrating, but the last guy was extremely helpful and also taught me some useful things on my new laptop while we were waiting for everything to transfer, so he got an extra star for that:)) From this experience I think the Squad is probably great with PCs, just maybe not so much with Macs. And it depends who you get to do the work. But I still think Best Buy is a great store in general.

I purchased a new Mac Book Pro because my old one had a bad mother board that needed to be replaced. On Wednesday before Black Friday, the Geek Squad rushed moving all my old data from the old hard drive to the new computer because I had to leave town. Their work was flawless and they keep you informed every step of the way. Good group of people.
