The geek squad went completely through my old computer and determined there was no hidden ransom ware, spyware etc. before transferring my data onto my new computer which I purchased at Best Buy. I received exceptional service and was done in a timely fashion. All data was successfully transferred.

Spoke w/sales person, described what I was looking for and why and price range. This was a very good recommendation and I am very satisfied with advice as well as Geek Squads diligence in transferring hard drive stuff from old laptop to new notebook even after giving them a corrupted slave drive..

The agents were able to save all of my files to a hard drive, upgrade laptop to Windows and and reinstall my files. This was done quickly. More importantly it was done in a friendly and professional manner, with patience, support and offering understanding.

The guy from Geek Squad was very friendly, helpful and polite. He transferred all the files from my old laptop to my new laptop very easy-even though I didn't buy my new laptop at Best Buy. For the $100 service fee, I think it was worth it. The transfer was completed in a day and I picked up my laptop the very next day.

Fast, friendly and great service . From drop off to pick up it was simple and the young man assisting me was so personable and explained things in a manner that I understood.

Both Ben, who enrolled me in Geek Squad, and Ryan, who fixed my computer that got a virus, were pleasant and very knowledgeable. I was freaking out because I was so worried about what happened with my computer, but when I arrived at Best Buy, their friendliness and confidence in telling me they could help me was so comforting. They did what they had to do quickly and efficiently and I was so relieved.

My old laptop crashed and I needed to replace it. My first concern was to see if my files and data were retrievable. So I went to my local Best Buy store and a Geek Squad member took a look at my hard drive and reassured me that the files were in tact. I bought another laptop that day and they transferred the files to the new laptop.

All of these geeks are good at what the do. Very courteous and explained that they were doing

My old computer died, and I needed to recover many of my files, The Geek Squad was able to retrieve the files and programs and set up my new computer to work faster than I expected. I owe a big thans to them

They were really nice and helpful and supposedly got everything into the external hard drive. I’ve still yet to see if it worked, but ay they were cool.

Geek squad backed up all my data during a repair of my desktop computer. They put everything in a folder on the desktop which was very easily accessible. What I was not aware of is that the data is not where it was prior to back up. It's categorized within the folder they created. I did not find this to be a problem though.

When laptop failed to boot and could not access any information stored, Geek Squad was able to recover, save and store data on separate storage device in order to allow access via a different laptop, to all stored data on the original defective laptop. The fix was extremely quick and process was efficient.

Although the Geek squad did their best to obtain the information on my crashed hard drive they were unable to retrieve the information. Fortunately what I wanted was in the icloud so it was not a problem. They determined in a timely manor that they were not able to retrieve the information.

I have not used it yet but paid for and planned to use to replace the hard drive and update older computer. This is good as a package with the purchase and think it is going to be helpful and was a much discounted rate when purchased as a package with new item and programs.

Brought my laptop in to Best Buy to the Geek Squad when my laptop died. Purchased a hard drive from Best Buy to transfer my data. Geek Squad called me 4 days later and had copied my information to new hard drive successfully. Very satisfied with their service.

I got in a bind when I had to transfer the data from my old machine to the new one.The people at Best Buy Geek Squad were more than accommodating and each one of them had a great attitude ad knowledge of their products and procedures. The price wasn't bad and neither was the time it took to do the transfer. I recommend this to anyone.

If you ever need your computer backed up, cleaned up or fix geek squad is the way to go

My computer died suddenly and i had not backed up my file in several months, since the machine would not start and i am not an expert in any remote way i had Best buy move my files to the new computer, it worked great and although i thought it cost more then it should i was happy to be current.

The team gave me expert advise about which OS I shouldbuy to replace Windows XP on my laptop, and suggested Windows 7 (laptop unable to handle Windows 8). Since Best Buy did not have the program in stock, they ordered it for me, let know when it came in and loaded it onto my laptop. Everything else I could do myself. - The team was great, friendly, efficient.
