My data transfer was part of my repair so my wife was able to access all her files after the process was completed. I feel confident my information is protected during this process

I am very impressed with the services that the Geek Squad offers! I have not yet made an appt.to go in for some help and tips for my new laptop but was assured that the help will be there. we also discussed my android phone that I purchased from Verizon and desperately need help on which Verizon was glad to provide for extra money and that the Geek squad was able to work with me under my Best buy plan I purchased.Wow!

I was hesitant to change computers because I thought I would lose some of my data from my old one, but thanks again to the Geek Squad at Best Buy they did it for me and I, as technically-challenged as I am, could find it on my new computer right away. I was very happy with what they did to save me a lot of time.

Had roof leak through to interior of room onto my prior laptop's keyboard. Prior machine died and was too expensive to repair...so replaced. For a minimal fee the excellent tech support migrated the data FROM my old damaged machine onto a newly purchased Acer... and has gone flawlessly. Geek Squad...Thank YOU!!

The thing I often have dreaded whenever upgrading to a new computing device is what has often been a tedious and painstaking process of recreating a digital environment that has become as comfortable as home on the old computer. The evolution of data transfer as handled by the Geek Squad makes that MUCH less daunting!

I took my laptop to Geek Squad and the guys there were extremely helpful! My laptop was unable to be fixed for a price I wished to pay due to the model being discontinued, but the technicians at GS were able to fully recover the information on my hard drive and assist me in finding great deals on new equipment!

Don't visit the Geek Squad in-store without an appointment. Once you have an appointment, you will not have to wait in line for long and they are very responsive. I took my tower in to have the data transferred to my new computer, much cheaper than having Geek Squad come to your home.

They were really nice and helpful and supposedly got everything into the external hard drive. I’ve still yet to see if it worked, but ay they were cool.

I had a laptop with a bent/bad power cord. It could not charge anymore and the repair was going to cost more than what the computer was worth. Geek Squad transferred all of my data onto a portable drive and disposed of the computer for me. So glad I did not lose my pictures and documents.

All the folders and programs were transferred quickly but agent did not know how to move over the IE favorites to new Microsoft Edge internet exporer.

This Geek Squad person spent a large amount of time transferring data from my very old, malfunctioning iPad to the one I just purchased at Best Buy. This task required him to research how to transfer some of the data. His patience, knowledge, and perseverance allowed me to have everything I needed on my new iPad.

My computer would not startup. I brought it in to the Geek Squad for help. They were able to get it running and did a complete backup onto a external hard drive. This saved all of my information so they could repair my computer and reload all of my information. I did not lose anything.

Geek Squad transferred my data from my old Windows 7 computer to a new Windows 10 computer. I have no experience with Widows 10; the Geek Squad set up my new computer so the Home page looks just like my Windows 7 Home page did. It's much easier to work with something I'm familiar with!

After my data transfer and I was home I did not understand or was able to access my data after the Geek Squad re-entered the data back onto my hard drive but I retuned and the assistance I receive was phenomenal. The agent resolve and correct the issue after explaining what had happen.

Fred assisted me at the Duluth, GA, store in selecting My Passport and I also let the Geek Squad perform the backup. He was very efficient and told me to call the Geek Squad to get Kaspersky removed from our laptops and to replace with one of two recommended anti-virus programs. I am choosing Webroot.

The folks at the Geek Squad eagerly accepted the challenge and was able to get rid of the virus, and save all our data. They transferred it to a new hard drive and everything turned out just perfect. I purchased my new HP desktop because my laptop would not work any longer. The tech was able to retrieve and transfer all my files from my laptop to my new desktop within a day. This was a great purchase and would recommend doing this with every computer.

I accidentally knocked over my ASUS all-in-one desk top computer. It was totally destroyed. I was worried about my data stored in Excel and Word. The Geek Squad was able to retrieve everything.
