My old laptop was crashing at a time when I couldn't get a new one. The geek squad was able to backup the data, reinstall the OS, and then reinstall the data. My computer was ready the next day and continued to hang in another 9 months until I got a new one. Thanks Geek Squad!

The service provided was good, but way too expensive. Windows update left a very expensive computer in an eternal log in loop, and then charged over $100 to backup data (pictures) so they could fix it. Come on guys.

The Geek Squad did a superb job and getting my new PC updated with the data from the old without bring forward all the garbbage that had been accumulated over the years. All applications were working in short order and my email had all the necessary data and contacts! Just a pleasure to work with him.

Having the Geek Squad transfer my data from my previous computer was a time savor.

I needed my data retrieved. I knew it wasn't going to be an issue, but I was a little concerned since there were important documents involved. The Geek Squad team member was really easy to work with. I've worked with them before at other locations and always find them knowledgeable and pleasant.

I must say, every single Best Buy Employee I interacted with were awesome!! I live near the MV Location and the interaction there was horrible!! I made an Appt with Costa Mesa and it was one of the most professional and pleasant experiences i have had in a very long time! I am glad to share such positive feedback! Quick and thorough, transferred all my data from my old laptop to my new one. Plus ran a tune-up on my old one to keep it from crashing again.

When my laptop motherboard fried, Geek Squad was there to copy the hard drive over from the old one to my new one I purchased at Best Buy. I was told it may take a couple of days to get it completed, so I went home. Early next day, they called to say it was ready. LOVE the Geek Squad.

Geek Squad can be great for those that do not know much about the tech side of technology. It can be pricey, but so can the technology you are protecting as well. Would you rather break it, or the "expert" ? Can be a slow process, when busy, and I have discovered that Mac knowledge is limited.

It took 2 attempts to get everything recovered and backup up correctly to new computer but that is a lot better than losing everything. It appears some of the issues were 'language' related, what I said was not what they understand and vice versa.

Last in a series, the agent restored all my data and software on my computer in support of a new hard drive.

I am always concerned when buying a new primary computer that all my files will be transferred with the minimal amount of disruption. The Geek Squad did a great job of doing just that -- my file organization was maintained, and everything I asked them to transfer was done accurately and completely.

The data transfer occurred without a clitch. However what I did not realize in the store was that none of the programs that the data uses were transferred to the new hard drive. I spent probably a full 10hour day today installing Windows 10, anti-virus software, cleaning software, MS Office and the HP printer software. Just be sure to ask for data and program transfer. I spoke French and the Geek squad was speaking Chinese. They did exactly what they said they would, transfer the data, but so what good is the data without the programs to run it! Just make sure you use their language instead of lay person's terminology!! Take nothing for granted. I thought I would come home, and get to work. Not so! I would recommend the service with caution to terminology.

Courteous throughout purchase. Did a marvelous transfer of computer files & screen items. Best service anyone could expect.

The clerk that helped us was very knowledgable about what we would need for our project. He was polite and explained things as he wrote he down. He did give us choices of products and explained the pros and cons of the choices.

They were wonderful and answered all my questions without making me feel silly. I had my old laptop for a long time and it had important videos and pictures on it that could not be lost. They seemed to genuinely care about my concern and were calming with the process. They did an awesome job.

Bought a new computer from Best Buy and the data was transferred from my old laptop to the new computer in a very timely fashion. The new computer was also set up and ready to go. We came in for our appointment and the technician was very patient and professional in explaining our new computer to us.

All my data was successfully transferred from the data drive of my old PC to the data drive in my new PC. As soon as I set up my new PC, I was able to immediately pick up where I left off on all my projects. Thank you, Geek Squad!

I had to buy a new computer because lightening got my other one. I use it for business and wanted to get it up and running quickly. So far, So good. All of the Geek Squad people that I dealt with were friendly. My only issue: After purchasing my computer at the Port Richey store (this one is nearest to me) I was going to have them do the data transfer but, their next available appointment was 7:20 that night. I wanted something sooner so I made an appoint at the Citrus Park store because they had an earlier appointment time. I didn't know I was going to have to leave my computer overnight. If the first store would have told me that (I was talking to them in person) I would have just left it there. So that was alot more time spent, but got computer back, hooked up, and all is well.
