Thankful for this service. The geek squad tech was able to transfer data and saved files from old computer to new computer quickly and easily. Not a techie person so this service was well worth the cost.

I must say, every single Best Buy Employee I interacted with were awesome!! I live near the MV Location and the interaction there was horrible!! I made an Appt with Costa Mesa and it was one of the most professional and pleasant experiences i have had in a very long time! I am glad to share such positive feedback! I appreciated Best Buy doing the data backup in the store and we brought our old one in the same day and they immediately started to work on it. Just keep in mind if you have a lot of data it does take time. but we were well pleased with the outcome

This was worth every penny I spent. All my photos and documents were successfully transferred to my new laptop in great order. The motherboard on my old one died and I only had back up on thumb drives. This service was seamless and such a convenience. Highly recommend.

The Geek Squad solved a worrisome problem for me when they transferred all files from my old laptop to my new laptop. They handled the transfer quickly and accurately. I was concerned that I might lose some valuable files if I attempted the transfer myself.

Bought a new PC and had the files from my old computer transferred to it. The tech. did a good job. Be aware that program files may not transfer due to licensing issues.

I needed backup service done on an emergent basis so of course, the Geek Squad came to mind. They did an effective job recovering my files, though wish it wouldn't come at such a cost. Nonetheless, I got what I needed. Staff was friendly. Service completed in a timely fashion.

I wish I could remember the name of the person who has helped me twice now in the phone section of my store, as he is knowledgeable and is great at customer service. He helped me with transferring from one phone to another, with finding a new phone for my mom (who is in her 80s), and finding a phone for my brother that was a good phone at an excellent price. I appreciate the great customer service!

Geek Squad was able to save 3 years of my wife's work as an artist with the data back up and transfer. We were afraid it was all gone forever when the laptop had soda spilled on it, but they saved everything. Great Job

Data transfer was pretty complete. There was very little dropout of files or data. I had to go searching for some, but wasn't too cumbersome.

Although it was a Best Buy tech that caused the loss of my data, the recovery went well and most was restored. With a couple hours of editing I was able to facilitate about 80% recovery, thanks to the tech that did this process with me.

Was very disappointed in the amount of time it took to have my data backed up and transferred to my new computer. It was supposed to take 3 -4 days but wound up taking a full 7 days. I was hoping the photos and music files would have been placed in their respective folders in the new computer, but they are all just in a single "backup" folder. Maybe this is what they are supposed to do, but it seems a bit less useful. They also missed that i was supposed to get the Kaspersky antivirus for 3 yrs, not 6 months. Luckily I noticed and they were very good about fixing it once I pointed out the error. I recommend their data back up/ transfer if you aren't tech savvy and are unable to do it yourself.

Best investment I made when I recently purchase a laptop computer. The team was knowledgeable, professional and patient. I can't imagine having a job where everyone coming in for help is frustrated or angry. They are great and would highly recommend purchasing their service.

When I got my new computer I asked about transferring the info from the old one. The Geek Squad did a great job of explaining the risks, told me that Best Buy could recycle the computer, but he would give me the hard drive to hold for 30 days and I could destroy it. Great convenience!

I didn't realize that I needed a flash drive to do the transfer. I have several at home that I could've brought with me. My photos and music were transferred without a problem.

I had my data transferred from my old laptop to my new HP Envy 360 Laptop. It was a flawless transfer. I also had to ask the Geek Squad several other questions about my new computer and they were all so helpful, even though some of my questions were probably a little stupid.

The Geek Squad did a nice job of asking what I needed from a potential computer and answered any question I had. They also helped me after I arrived home to set up my computer for what I needed it to do.

They did a great job in just a day or two and it was a few days before Christmas. I was in a hurry to get the laptop up and running due to putting out a monthly newsletter. They transferred everything, except my address book. I forgot to ask them to do that. They did a great job.
