I had the Geek Squad transfer the data from my old PC to a new one. They got it all, including all of my pictures. But they went above and beynd when I asked if they would tranfer my iTunes account. I knew I would have trouble with that on my own. He did it, no problem.

They were able to transfer my data quickly. I was told it may take 5 to 7 days to transfer everything but they were able to do it in like a day. They were very kind and helpful

My laptop suddenly dead and needed to pull out my important data from the HDD.I was not comfortable to pull out the HDD by myself but Geek Squad could recover all the data from my old HDD and that was life saving!

I used the Geek Squad to transfer my data from my old computer to my new computer. They also did some set-up/install for the new computer. The service was fast ( 2 days). They took time to answer questions that I had and they had the knowledge to give good explanations.

This review covers the SECOND time I brought my new HP Pavilion X360 in for setup and configuration. In short, the FIRST time I brought it in, the job was done incorrectly and was incomplete. I had to return it to the Geek Squad desk again. The young man I met with the second time--I remember he was wearing a Sheriff's Office Auxiliary badge on his belt-- listened to my problem(s) with the laptop and proceeded to fix it ON THE SPOT. I thought I was going to have to leave it at the store again, but he was able to figure out the problems and correct the deficiencies in about 40 minutes. I was impressed with his analytical capabilities and very happy that I didn't have to leave the laptop at the store again. The computer is working fine now. Although I was not happy that I had to bring the computer back a second time, the knowledgable professionalism of the second Geek Squad kind of offset the annoyance brought on by the first.

I took my mother in laws tablet into the geek squad to transfer all data and pics. They completed it quickly. FYI. The old tablet was 8 years old and not very user friendly. Google didn't just transfer over.

My old laptop died without notice so I needed to purchase a new one. I was worried I had lost everything, but the Geek Squad told me they could retrieve all of my data from the hard drive of the old one and put it on my new one. It was a life saver!! They were great.

When I purchased my computer my main concern was saving my pictures. The Geek Squad did a wonderful job of adding them into the new unit plus all my documents.

I had to have my files transferred because of an issue with Microsoft update screwing up my computer. The first file I looked for was not transferred which was a pain to reproduce. Seems that all others were done correctly though.

I needed to have my files, etc. moved from my old laptop and they did a terrific job.

Geek Squad is awesome. Glad they suggested the backup, even though was not needed in the end.

I use this laptop primarily for research, writing and editing, sometimes for watching videos, and never for gaming (nothing to do with the laptop, just not my thing). This is a great replacement for my last hp laptop; it has a crisp screen display and decent sound (you might want to amplify it with speakers for the complete movie experience) that's good for news clips, some TV shows, etc. I am THRILLED to be rid of Windows 8. W10 works much better. Good, solid, clicking keyboard with raised keys; great for writers. One small drawback might be for bigger hands than mine; because the reach from the lip of the laptop to the spacebar is about 4.5 inches, users who rest their wrists there will find that the cursor might jump due to the heat from their wrists or lower hands. Smaller hands will hover above this area, so it's not as much of a problem, but it's something to be aware of. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Omg am so relieved that geek squad was able to recover data from my crashed hard drive at a lie basic rate after I had been told told by other companies it would cost a bundle and were evasive if they could be successful .. many thanks to the squad !!!!!

Laptop was not functioning properly and was checked out for a virus plus needed some instructions on transferring photos with my new Apple 8 I phone. Geek squad was able to help me on both areas quickly and efficiently .

Geek Squad was outstanding in explaining the process and how long it would take. Also walked me through to double check to make sure all the info I needed transferred took place. No issues encountered and the Squad did a great job!

Several points. First, making an appointment for when you go to see the Geek Squad reduces your overall down time. Second, the backup was flawless and my new hard drive has worked perfectly. I will always purchase my computers and service plans from Best Buy in the future.
