I love the geek squad they are fast and very informed when something goes wrong I love having the protection would always get the geek squad protection it’s piece of mind for me :)

My computer screen broke some how, so I took it in and the Geek Squad verified what I thought and I asked them if they could back up my data and they did, gave me the correct drive and I picked up my computer in 2 days. Awesome

Geek squad attempted to do a data backup on an old computer, but couldn't get the hard drive to work. So, they refunded the charges and took back the portable hard drive without my even asking.

I had to have a virus cleaned from my desktop and decided to purchase an external hard drive to back up everything first. Now, each time I add a document to my desktop, I back it up on the external hard drive. Very comforting.

Bought for my wife to take some college courses online and she loves it. She's able to work on multiple assignments and projects at once. At the rate she is going she'll complete one course in in three weeks instead of eight.

Geek Squad data transfer is a very simplistic service. if the drive is not totally ruined, they plug your hard drive via cable to another computer and copy ONLY documents, pictures, music and the like. If your hard drive is totally gone there is nothing they can do for you in the store and either they send your drive away yo be recovered or give it back to you. I have not heard good reviews about where they send the drive to - so I chose to take my drive and go else where. Keep in mind that data recovery - the REAL one - is very expensive. Don't let cheap prices fool you. In the end, I could have done exactly what the Geek Squad done myself with a $30.00 cable.

They completed my Windows 10 reinstall and kept all critical data I needed. They not only completed it but did so days ahead of schedule. My kids rely on this PC for homework assignments.

I bought my niece a laptop for her high school graduation present. It' a Dell with touchscreen functionality. She loves it. The laptop is bigger than she wanted only because she wanted integrated DVD drive. Rest is perfect.

So far my computer is humming along. Amazing that each summer something goes awry and the unit has to be fixed. You folks usually do a fine job. I would give you a five star but I always have to remind you to vacuum the cab.

I have always been completely satisfied with the service I get from Geek Squad. The reps are knowledgeable, efficient, and can speak the non-professional language needed for novice computer users.

My windows installation failed and had to be re-installed. We backed up my data to a drive. Now when I plug in the drive (I do it once a week) it automatically backs up the new/changed data.

Was donating two old computers to charity and needed to remove info from them to clear the hard drive in them. External hard drive recommended did the job Product was MY PASSPORT with 1TB memory

Transferred my data from my old desktop that would not even turn on anymore. The work was completed three days before they said it would be done. Answered all questions, even those not about this unit.

Geek Squad backed up all my pictures and music from an old computer that did not work well. Great job!! I now have all my favorite music and pictures that are not replaceable.

Service person very helpful and knowledgeable. Helpful the minute I came to the counter. Gave advice about the problem, and provide me with alternatives. Would tell others about the service. Would come back to the store.

I'm technically challenged! Whenever I need help on my computer etc. I always turn to "my people" at Best Buy. They explain and fix whatever is my problem is and explain things so I understand.

I had to send my laptop back to Dell for repair and I was afraid that I lost everything on it. With the purchase of an external hard drive, BB was able to retrieve and back up all of my data.

The squad members were great to work with. The provided me an extremely valuable service, maintained communications with me and completed the mission successfully in a short timeframe.

When my computer died the day taxes were due, I was able to go to Brst Buy and even though they were busy the techs understood I needed that info right away and were able to get it for me while I waited. Great service.

This was fairly expensive, having to attempt to transfer data (~7500 pictures, primarily) from an additional hard drive... it was successful, but cost me an extra $500 (ouch!)... took about 5 days.
