Geek squad service are The best and I will be back

The service I received was great. The geek squad team did end up retrieving most of the data on my hard drive.

Geek Squad was to recover some pics for me off a SanDisk. They did recover the pictures, but they are so tiny,one can't see them. I have called back over 6 times now to talk with someone -- no one is ever available, no one returns phone calls, no one is helping me resolve the problem.

After $99 for a 'diagnostic/analysis' fee on my failed HD (which lets face it, they hook it up to a machine that does all the work), another $150 towards 'Tier 1' data recovery, three weeks later, they 'recovered' only about 65 GB of data out of 200+ GB on my HD. A more in depth 'Tier 2' data recovery option would have cost an additional $300 with no promises. 'Tier 3' would cost $500-800 or more. Frankly, I felt it was a huge rip off / financial risk for poor results. Not to mention, who even knows if they're telling you the truth or just trying to get you to spend a fortune in recovery fees.

Very satisfied with their recovery could have used a little bit more explanation on how to find it in the computer and what files it's underneath but other than that great job

Geek squad was able to save what I believe were all my files....about 300GB worth

I used to be satisfied with GEEK Squad service. But this time it's almost more than 2 months and no reasonable response and my computer still at large at Bestbuy. I am really upset by the lack of regular updates and headship about the status of my Computer.

I was totally amazed at the amount of files they were able to recover from my damaged external hard drive. A lot of important data would have been lost permanently.

I got what I expected, Unfortunately, my item evaluated for repairs was not returned to me in the condition I gave it to Best Buy. It had tape holding it together, which wasn't needed when I turned it in.

Geek Squad recovered all data from a bad external drive. This drive contained alot of pictures and music files. Excellent job!!

The agents saved family pictures and other files on a free standing hard drive whose power supply died.

I had an external drive that failed with 2.2 Terabytes of memory used up on it (out of 3 tb available). I shipped it off to be repaired. I was told at the desk when I dropped it off that if I didn't get a full recovery with every file working, I would be refunded $450. This seemed fair, so I reluctantly paid the $1750 it cost to have it repaired for a level 3 recovery (On top of all this, I'm a college student, so this was a full month's pay). I was told that I would have the drive back within 30 days. I was barely contacted about it, customer service cut my call off nearly every time I called, and I finally had the service completed after 45 days. Only 600GB of files were recovered, and 150 gb were deemed unusable. As it was described to me when I dropped it off, I should have gotten $450 back, but unfortunately, the guy at the store didn't know what he was talking about. What the rule actually is that if I go through the process, there is 1300 Non-Refundable, and if I want nothing back after that point, I can get 450 back. If he had explained this correctly then I could have paid the next three months of rent with the amount of money I spent. Or I could have had money off of my student debt, but instead I got less than 1/4 of my original content back.

They recovered my data. Great. They stuck my data on a new storage device and that took a dump one day later. They couldn’t retrieve that.

customer service was professional and they got my data out of my laptop safely into an external hard drive.
