However, they did a great job setting up the process for me and communicating how it would all work.

NONEXISTENT PHONE SERVICE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had my external hard drive sent in for a repair only for them to not be able to be reached by phone when I received a text that data repair services were ready. I continuously tried to reach them, but no one was ever available. Today I get a call that my hard drive was sent back to the store I shipped it from and that they cannot help me. Totally goes against the terms and conditions that I signed when I sent it in and spent $50 on a service I never got. Today I spent over an hour (already) trying to reach someone at Geek Squad to help, but unsurprisingly they couldn’t! Thanks so much Geek Squad for helping me get my family photos back! Really appreciate the communication!

Used services of Geek Squad for hard drive problem

I especially was pleased with the follow up and the courteous manner with which my computer download to an external hard drive was handled.

Pricey data recovery

Cost a lot of money

When the hard drive was sent out I was told it would take 2 weeks. Never heard from them until 24days later saying they needed my password. So Im having a supervisor look into this. Very unhappy that I was pushed aside or just plain forgot. Thats all I needed was data recovery.

My other two drives our for level 2 service, are unaccounted for. I called recently for an update and have heard nothing.

Even the online tracking has disappeared.

very proud of their services

Geek is proud of themselves- my fault for not backing up properly but be ware this has turned into a racket and you are hostage to thier exagerated pricing.

It sounds like your hard drive may have some physical issues, or severe file system issues, which would require a Level 3 data recovery.
