I always buy HP products because they are of the highest quality

I submitted a remote hard drive to in store, paid my fee and then they sent it out. I was contacted by your outside of store center telling me that they had recovered data but in order to receive data I needed to pay an additional $600. I had them return to me. Will never use this service again.

My computer had a hard drive issue so I dropped it off at the local store on Feb 25 which they sent to the service center in KY to be serviced. I was told it would take 10 days to fix the issue. As of March 23, my computer is still in KY and no one can provide me with an answer as to when I can expect my computer back.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Atascocita location could not stand by their own word. I understand ETAs can vary. The “diagnostic leveling” and how they charge by each level is ridiculous. You’re better off going to the manufacturer than here. The geek squad attendant was very unprofessional and made you feel like you don’t know what you’re talking about. Go elsewhere.

After I paid the 50 diagnostic fee, they told me they could do what I requested. Only after I paid the full fee, they told me they could not actually help me.

I paid for data recovery on 12/29/23. It is 1/22/24 and I still don't have my laptop or my external hard drive back. This was supposed to take 7 - 10 days.

The store experience was fine, but why in the world does it take FIVE WEEKS to perform a DECLINED level three data recovery??? Five. Weeks. And i STILL do not have my laptop. “Extensive testing” was tuesday 7/12. Unacceptable. Again, store experience is always exceptional.

The team didn't explain much if any of the steps in recovering so I took my business else where. Not worth the time, money or hassle.

My external hard drive took a dump. The guys with Geek Squad were nice enough, but determined that it would need to be sent externally for further review. They came back with $1,400 needed and only guaranteed 1 file to be recovered. WHAT?!!

personnel at main recovery site could not recover, would have cost at least $1500.00 , would have taken another 4-6 weeks, after this first 4 wks.

Its been almost a whole month and I'vw received updates here and there but nothing about completion or price. Starting to worry.

After already charging $250 to send off my hard drive, they quoted me $1300 to recover my data. Not worth it.

Best Buy obviously doesn't know how to do data recovery. I gave them specific files I wanted. I got this mess of an external hard drive back that I have to click through a maze before I can get to the five files they actually saved. Imagine my surprise.

One the Geek Squad gets your computer or hard drive, they do not want to hear from you. I have tried repeatedly to contact them but have been put on hold. This hold will last for greater than 30 minutes at which time I hang up. Do not use Geek Squad unless you want your computer held hostage.

I paid for the service, and it was a waste of money. They knew it couldn't be fixed.

They waved the $50 fee to send thr external hard drive out. Whwn the recovery called me..they wanted $1500!!! No guarantee! If they were able to retrieve onmy one file..same price. Yes $1500!! If nothing'. I owe nothing.. Needless to say i asked them to return my external hard drive..not happy!

Absolute waste. They charged $50 (non-refundable) to ship it off only to call me a month later and say it would be another $1450 to get my wedding pictures off the computer. I told them i could retake my honeymoon twice over for that much

Had to get data recovery service when Surface Pro 4 crapped out. Still in warranty and Best Buy service plan, and I still paid out almost $300!!

Not that impressed Overall disappointed, the proper expectations were not set. Overall the people that waited on me were ineffective at best. I guess there was book real hope that they could recover any thing at a reasonable price.
