    I am still waiting for an estimate on the recovery backup of my hard drive to an external drive. Have not received a call or email about the status of my request. My request was made on 5/5/2021 in person at the Best Buy store at Christiana Store.

    My hard drive was fried. The Geek Squad sent it our for possible restoration. After 2 weeks, I received a call and was told it would cost $1200 to restore. Way too expesnive.

    My daughter has brought her laptop in 4 times

    My daughter has brought her laptop, still under warranty, for repairs 4 times. The problem persists and they have not replaced it although they agree the component is faulty.

    Geek Squad Could Not Recover Information

    Every several weeks of waiting the Geek Squad let me know that they could not recover the data for anything less than $1400.00. I promptly told them to send me back my equipment. I have taken it elsewhere.

    Never called and then lied about when the package arrived at the store. I paid $50 for overnight delivery and they held it for a week before I called them.

    I have the best geek squad support service. No better than the cheapest one. Could not save my stuff on computer but they could save it on a new hard drive they told me i needed.

    I went to Best Buy since I was told by a BB Geek Squad rep that Apple does not do data recovery and it is only third parties like Geek Squad. I had them review

    well they have told me that hey have saved all of movies since I had about 300 of them saved there on my hard drive and they have only saved about 10 of them.

      Hi Jim1 – I’m sorry to hear that we weren’t able to retrieve your date in our store. Did the folks at the store offer to ship the drive out for more advanced data recovery? The more advanced recovery service would be more costly, and take longer, but if the data is very important to you it may be worth it.
