Meh
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game tries too hard to be something it’s not, if you took dying light combined with other zombie games and have it a subpar story line that is what this is, not worth it.

Not for me
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t have much to say because I didn’t like this game after 45 minutes of playing. It’s just not for me. I would prefer World War Z over this.

Good but not great...yet.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I, like many, watched and waited for this game since the first E3 reveal back in 2016. I was hoping for a game that felt different and fresh, but it feels like something I have played before. It has many of the ingredients that you want in an action game. A little stealth, some crafting, skill leveling, weapon upgrades, driving and discovering. Not that this is a bad thing, but it doesn't feel as open world as I thought it would feel. I like the motorcycle being a focal point of your transportation, however, the need to constantly need to refuel it is a little unrealistic as most motorcycles get great gas mileage. In Days Gone, they get about the same amount of MPG's as a Ferrari. No joking. I also think it would have been nice to have the option at some point to gain access to other vehicles, as they are scattered everywhere. Back to the bike. The handling takes a little getting used to, but after a few hours, it starts to feel more controlled and when driving it, it does feel like it has some weight to it like it should. The gunplay is where I feel most vulnerable in this game, as it does make it a little challenging at times to aim accurately. In games similar to Days Gone, your aiming reticule changes color, to alert you if you are on the mark before you pull the trigger. There are no indicators like that here. Which may have been intentional, to create more of a challenge. Collision detection is a little hit or miss in this game as well, when it comes to running over bodies or debris. Sometimes your bike reacts realistically and sometimes it clips right throw said objects. This might be something that could be patched down the road, but it is worth noting, as it can take away from the immersion a bit. I do have to say that I think the AI is pretty good. You will see the enemy change positions during a gun battle and look to get a better strategic location for shooting at you. I also noticed that if your cover is blown, that the AI enemies do walk around where they think you might be, trying to find you. So it forces you to change your cover at times to stay hidden. I read several of the critics reviews prior to picking this game up and I can see where some of them are coming from. Based on the nearly 3 yrs of hype that was surrounding this game, I think most if not all of us were expecting something that would blow us away. Although Days Gone is by no means re-inventing anything here. I do find it fun to play and have enjoyed the time I have spent with it so far. The graphics do look really nice. The lighting effects and dynamic weather are pretty impressive. If you were at all interested in this game leading up to the release, then I think you will enjoy it. If you were more like "meh" when you saw videos on it, then I would wait for a sale. I am digging it and would recommend picking it up. Here is how I would rate this game so far: Sound: 4.5 out of 5 Visuals: 4.5 out of 5 Gameplay: 4 out of 5 Fun Factor: 4 out of 5-

Very fun and addicting open world game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hardly ever leave reviews but I felt compelled to write this after reading critic review after critic review talking bad about Days Gone. No, this isn't a perfect game and it does have some technical bugs relating to sound and frame rate dropping but two patches have already been released in the three days since it released. Bend Studio did a great job and it shows. The game itself is open world but still somewhat linear (at least for the first 15 hours or so that I've played). It has elements from RDR2, Last of Us, Uncharted, and more. The story, at least for me, is compelling and this does not feel like "just another zombie game". Of course, there are some shortcomings but nothing like the critic reviews would have you believe. I put in close to 15 hours in the first two days and I haven't felt such a strong connection with a game in a LONG time. Kingdom Hearts 3, Red Dead 2, and even God of War did not get me this hooked (not to say this game is better than RDR2 or GOW, but it's up right up there with them). TLDR: Don't listen to the critic reviews. This is not "just another zombie game". The game is very fun and the technical glitches will be fixed with patches. After 15 hours of playing, I strongly recommend this game.

Freakers! Not Zombies, Yeah....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well this isn't supposed to be an open world zombie game, but they do feel like the fast running zombies like from 21 Weeks Later movie. The story is cool, graphics very well done. But there are some bugs, not a perfect game. Missions also sometimes feel meaningless. But I really like the gameplay and moving around and caring for the bike.

WOW...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture Red Dead Redemption (the original, not the unplayable sequel) except on a motorcyle with machine guns. Game engine will have you thinking that you are playing RED DED. Controls are fairly intuitive. Combat is not completely perfect, but close enough. Good story... you are a survivor of the zombie apocalypse. You start with crap gear, and have to survive by gaining credits, gear, finding and building new and interesting gadgets, weapons etc, upgrading your character, your bike and your weapons. Fight through hordes of zombies and human jerks, who also survived, either by brute strength or stealth, or both, depending on the scenario. The main story line is good, and gameplay is fairly open. I have played through a few times, and always manage to do it in new and surprising ways. I am a casual gamer, but I caught myself staying up for hours and having to make myself quit playing.

Basically Red Dead Redemption but w/ a motorcycle
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Critics are insane. This is a fantastic open world survival zombie game with a decent enough story to satisfy. It’s starts slow, but picks up a bit. An absolutely fantastic game that hooked in an otherwise inpatient gamer. Well worth giving a try, even at full price.

The best zombie game on the PS4
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The last of us is not a zombie game, those are mutants created by nature. Anyway back to the review, there were many SJW critics bashing this game for its main protagonist not being inclusive and diverse when that is not what makes a character great. What makes Deacon great is he is a person with a good heart that is trying to get by after tragedies. He does not become a cold person do to hardship he shows compassion and is also a badass at the same time riding on a bike that is like your pet the whole time needing gasoline and scrap metal to feed and keep it healthy. There is collecting items and hordes of zombies to mow down. The horrible human enemies are perfect since all you want to do is eliminate them and make the area a better place. The graphics are amazing and the story was a great start for a new IP
