Not the Best Zombie Game on the PS4 and That's OK

Days Gone is a PlayStation exclusive that could be better, but it's not bad. Even though it's not completely original with The Last of Us 2 coming next year, it's a good time. It has a story to tell, it looks good, and killing zombies is still fun. With all the discounts going on, it's easy to recommend for the price.

I like it so far, it feels different. It doesn’t suck as a few website claimed that it did . I like it. It’s still interesting to me and I am 4/5 hours into the game. Fun I like it a lot . Maybe if it help you feel better wait for a little discount to get it . It’s worth $55 bucks not the whole $65 you’d normally pay with tax

This game is everything I wanted it to be. If you’re looking for an intense survival open world game, this is right up your alley. I purchased this game on launch when the game was pretty buggy. Bend has since released a number of patches that have fixed any issues I ran into. Definitely worth a buy!

Don't listen to the early reviewers. This game is a masterpiece. A beautiful open world that is constantly evolving with new animals and freaks. The game also makes you feel for the main characters as they try to survive. Main story would be about 40 hours long. Must play for fans of the last of us!

The game is gorgeous and the story is very interesting. I love the relationships between the characters, especially Deacon and Boozer. You can tell they really care about each other. I haven't gotten very far into the story yet due to work and other distracting things, but so far, I'm loving it.

Great game. Excellent story and I like the characters as well as customization and 'level-ups'. The hoards are a bit too difficult but most of the time you are offered an option to skip if you fail more than twice. Highly recommended!

I'm about 20 hours in and so far it's a lot of fun running from the hordes is unlike anything I've played other then World War Z an online multiplayer game. The world is beautiful and I enjoy the crafting mechanics that controls are just a bit clunky and hard to get used to but other than that I really enjoy it

This game continues the tradition of excellence with Sony and their first party games. The story revolvers around a survivor of zombie like infection and his buddy who uses bikes to get around that you can upgrade for better armor and stability. The graphics are top notch and the story is very interesting.

Game had a good story and was a ton of fun slaughter the hordes of zombies. Once I got really good weapons I loved cutting down the zombies and placing traps and customizing your bike. I will definitely do another play through at a later date.

Days gone is an open world zombie game, where you ride around your bike trying to survive what's left of the world with your best friend. It is a really fun game where you must always be alert and ready to fight, the game isn't perfect but what it lacks on makes it up with fun game play.

I love this game and thought it was well made. The storyline is pretty cool. It took quite a bit of time for me to beat the game and I thought it was well worth the initial price of $60. I hope they make another one of these games soon. I would definitely buy it!

Open-world zombie survival games are a dime a dozen and I can get why you'd be burned out on this. I initially was until some people I trusted recommended it and now I'm glad I've played it. The bike is a great wrinkle to the formula in that I was always paying attention to my gas, drifting downhill to conserve fuel and paying attention to nearby gas stations. I grew attached to it and winced anytime I hit anything. I also love how it controls. Getting a headshot feels great (I'm playing on hard with no auto-aim) and the environment is fun to look at and explore, even if it can get a bit samey. It's also way more polished than your average zombie game and I didn't come across any bugs (I heard they were there at launch, but I bought this a month after release and haven't had any problems). There's not a lot new here, but what is here is done well.

I think the gameplay is great and the story is interesting enough to keep me wanting to continue, but I do agree with some reviewers about it being just a bit too long. I think if you enjoy open world games, this is still fresh enough that it’s worth a try, especially now that it’s discounted.

Great game play, lots of action, hordes, missions, free roam and structured missions, graphics are fantastic, game plays well, the story and acting on this are like a good Hollywood movie-top notch, very well done!! This single player game is also nice and long just how I like them

I bought this for my fiance for Christmas and he thought it wouldn't be good since he isn't into zombie games like that but once he started playing it he got addicted to it and couldn't put the controller down and kept saying how great of a game it was.

Hands down the best game I’ve ever played. And I’ve played ALOT of games! The story is amazing. The main characters are likeable, funny. This game is simply breathtaking. Don’t be put off by the subpar reviews. If you’re thinking about getting this game, stop thinking and GET IT

Bought this game because they patched in motion aiming and removed all the early bugs and I heard the gameplay and story was excellent. No regrets. Awesome game. No regrets (even though I ended up with a free copy via PS5's PS+ offer).

I was down on Days Gone before its release. It was announced a long time ago, received multiple delays, and the developers always demoed the same area with the horde, leading me to believe that the rest of the game was a mess. Since the horde thing didn't blow my mind, its only gimmick didn't win me over. Since I had pre-ordered it a long time ago when I received a special offer, I decided to keep my pre-order. I'm glad that I did. This is a massive, beautiful game. It's essentially an open world version of The Last of Us. You sneak around, rummage though buildings to find items to craft weapons such as molotov cocktails, etc. It's much more of a stealth game than an action game. While you can play it as an action game, it's far more rewarding sneaking your way through. Also, the game has some outstanding cutscenes & voice acting that'll keep you interested throughout the 30 hours the game lasts. Needless to say, I recommend Days Gone.
