If you liked Shadow of the Colossus for the exploration of the map for exploration's sake, this scratches a similar itch (obviously everything outside of that is WILDLY different). But it's a very unique game with a very relaxing loop of delivering packages quietly across some beautiful backdrops, then interspersed with some classic silly/great Kojima storytelling and punctuated by moments of surprising action and scale. Not perfect by any stretch but absolutely worth playing.

A round of applause for Kojima and his staff at KojiPro. After the breakup with Konami, Kojima was able to make DS with the help of Sony. The game starts off slow and you're figuring out how the game works, but as you keeping playing, the genius of Kojima starts to make sense as usual. Btw, delivering packages is addicting. Congrats to Kojima and his staff on their 1st game without Konami. Can't wait for the next game.

A somewhat new style of gaming and online communication in a way. The graphics, voice acting, soundtrack are all top notch! This game is not enjoyable for everyone, I am enjoying it so far but I wanted to buy it to support Kojima in his first solo game outside of Konami. His passion and dedication really shows.

I'll be honest. I've never heard of Hideo Kojima, but I am a fan now. This game is fresh. Traveling the terrain of the UCA is much fun, mules and BTs can get your ticker pumping. Graphics and sounds are top notch. Planning routes, what and how much to equip, and what orders to take on is a mini game in its own. The multi player aspect is neat. Work with other players to build roads. Get likes from another player for a well place ladder or rope. Very cool!!

Good overall game, the game is very good with a good open world environment

A new take on video games and story telling. Kojima has created a one of a kind. The story is just as crazy as everything else Kojima has created. The game play however is a left turn. People have described this as a fed ex simulator...and they are not wrong. You walk around and deliver packages....over and over.....yet somehow it works.... it's not for everyone. Definitely not an action game.

My dad and I had a lot of fun running around in this one. It was like watching a movie basically. Pretty fun game.

Big fan of the metal gear series years ago and this game has a good storyline as well. Graphics are great.

Yes, a bit of a simulator. But how much you will enjoy it and appreciate it more depends how much time you take and explore. The lore is there... and it's a different storytelling that we may not all appreciate as for Kojima trying at something new.

Is not easy game to sell when most kids and gamers want games when you can shoot at everything that moves. But Kojima is giving us more than simple game. He sells the experience of enjoying this world he created. Is weird, and is ridiculous and is scary at times. Is the most Kojima game ever made with complete liberty of what he could do. This game won't be of the likes of most people, but is worth it, cause is a work of love and discipline.

This game is not for everyone. It's on the opposite spectrum of Call of Duty. This game could be best summed up as an Amazon delivery guy with intriguing storyline. I was into the type of game play, so I had no problems running around delivering items as this deep story unfolds. Definitely pick this one up if it goes on sale or if you have alot of time on your hands. Visually stunning, soothing soundtrack.

Overall I very fun game so far. Although many people have been giving this game less than positive reviews, I think it is a solid RPG. It is much different than any other game I have played before, but the graphics and concept of the game are very unique. Do not expect a shooter game, as combat is somewhat limited so far, but is very engaging at the same time. I would definitely recommend to a long-time gamer wanting a new experience.

Gorgeous looking game. I'd suggest looking at some gameplay and really seeing whats involved. If you want a chill time and beautiful natural vistas then this is it. There is plenty of management going on and does have a slow pacing, which I honestly enjoyed. Not for everyone but if you think you may like it you probably will.

Excellent game, had many negative reviews, I do not understand why, I played it until Chapter 3 and it seemed very good, it has an interesting and original story, at all it has been bored, the menus at the time of making deliveries or accommodating the load seem complicated but no, they are simpler than it seems. It is an excellent work of Kojima, it is worth having it in the collection

This game has a lot of overreactions online calling it a walking simulator or UPS the video game. Death Stranding is actually way bigger than all of that. Lots of different gameplay elements and the story is very intriguing. In typical Kojima fashion, there are a LOT of cutscenes. That can be a turn off to some gamers, but if you’re a Metal Gear Solid fan, that’s normal to you. Anyway, I’m 15 hours and it’s been very good so far.
