I’ll admit I was one of the skeptics of this game and was on the fence but still intrigued... I am very happy I took the plunge and gave the this game a chance! It’s unlike anything you have ever played. Sure it’s an open world game and you craft things and deliver things but it’s way more than that. It’s about connections! Not just with the NPCs of the game world but with other players within the game world. This will go down as an innovative milestone in gaming just like metal gear solid 1. It makes delivering packages an absolute thrill and rewards you for being creative. Hideo Kojima and his team have brought us an absolute masterpiece and Trust me it’s worth your time. Just be patient, have an open mind and immerse yourself in the game and find out for yourself.

So there are 70 deliveries in total. It took me around the 30th or 35th delivery to see the greatness in this game. Boring, I mean really boring in the beginning because it’s all walking with no excitement. But once I was 30 hours in boy did it cook!!!!! The story was great but the walking really tainted it from becoming game of the year. You have to be patient, I mean really patient when you start at first and hold off judging it. It delivers halfway or so in.... trust me. Kojima would have really shut the game down if all that walking didn’t exist. Overall I enjoyed it once I was 30+ hours in overall I played 85 hours.

Graphics are unbelievable but the game doesn't really tell you what you're supposed to do. Often feel lost walking around huge 3D world not knowing what I'm doing. You'll probably need to look up videos on youtube.

I bough it elsewhere because I didn't want to pay shipping and had a coupon. But this game is good. Very strange and different but in a good way. Ignore the people who call it a walking sim.

Great game. I love Norman Reedus. The story is amazing. A nice chill game to play when you don’t want to get riled up. Great customer service from Best Buy. Pick up orders have been the best thing to happen to me ever.

I went off several reviews from severalonline sites and splurged the $3 to rent it for a night from my local Red Box. My nerve meds combined with my pain meds make it hard to fall asleep. Even with 400+ Mbit d/l speed it took almost 2 hours to even get to see the opening credit. The wait was worth it, on my Samsung 4K 65" screen the scenery was simply beautiful. Then it happened, the incessant 15 minute movie clips, seemingly one after another. It took me all of 15 minutes, of which 5 was spent learning to balance while running downhill, to make my initial delivery and then the began what I call "the Duldrums"... Within 10 minutes I was nodding off, waking up to random noises and 10 seconds later nodding off to dreamland once again. I gave up and put in Sky Rim and enjoyed some old school video gaming. I can see buying this game for Christmas 2021 when it will be only set me back $10...

Bought this game for my daughter because she’s a fan of Norman Reedus. And now that there are making a second Death Stranding, she would love the second one.

It's not the most "fun" game and challenges your perception of what games are, but it's an incredible experience. If you're interested in something completely original that you can dive into and love exploring open worlds, this is highly recommended.

Funny game, the ghosts make me go hahahahahhahaha, ha

I really wanted to like this game. It has a great cast and the graphics are well done but the story is thin and the game play is extremely boring. You pretty much just run back and forth on the map and at every junction there is a giant cut scene, which would be great with this cast, if the story wasn't so bad. I am returning asap to see if I can recoup some of the 60$ I threw away on it. So disappointing.

Waste of 60 dollars and hours of your time. This game makes you frustrated. I played 35 hours into it till chapter 6 than just tired and bored I erased it and the saved games too. Never again will I buy a “masterpiece” from Hideo Kojima.

Boring. You’re a ups driver. That is all. Don’t buy this.
