after leaving the quirky sugarcubes, bjork went completely solo & gave us her first masterful endeavor entitled debut. how appropriate. as always, bjork manages to keep us smiling while astonishing listeners with her unique sense of style. there is obviously no one else like her. she can go from a sweet whisper to a primal growl in just a matter of seconds. rather than sounding scratchy or unnerving, the sounds she makes are rather pleasant to be truthful. some of them even borderline being a bit relaxing. so as not to have her listeners falling asleep in the course of the album, she does the occasional upbeat song just to remind one that she is in complete control & one may never doubt her musical intentions. see why everyone has been talking about this amzing woman for years & start here if you have yet to buy any of her other works. if you already have this cd, continue spreading the word about bjork & move on to another cd in her discography. you simply can't go wrong with bjork.
