Great sounding center speaker! I have them with my BP7006's and SM350's for surrounds and surround backs. This is a great center channel for not a whole lot of money. It doesn't take up a lot of size for the sound that it can produce either.

I concur with all other previous reviewers! This speaker is the best center channel at Best Buy currently. I bought it to go with a pair of 800 bookshelf speakers also by Definitive. Voices sound crisp and true to life, like the person talking is in the room. If you are looking for a cure to your lost dialogue in movies this is the speaker for you. I would say Definitive is the best out thier for subs, satellites, bookshelf, and center channel. All the speakers in my 9.1 home theater system are from Definitive and it makes watching anything from movies to sports an amazing experience.

I recently bought a pair of def tech 8060-St towers witch sound incredible but I also wanted a center for voices but didn't want too spend 700 dollars for the 8060 center.I went into BB too give this a listen after all the rave reviews on this.the demo they used to let me listen to this was transformers and I just listeded too this center.....WOW!....I couldn't believe what I was hearing from this center.....very impressive room filling sound from this speaker.Goes perfect with my towers.If your in need of a center don't pass this one up.....great speaker at a great price.....could easily sell for 350....I think it's a steal at 220.....very very impressive....:-)

The sound is so clear coming out, spoken word is like they are right in front of you. Size of speaker is fine, I was looking @ the Polk center channel speaker way too big. This speaker is sleek looking with great benefits.

Just rediscovered this speaker in my cabinet after it was banished from use by a "cooler" looking sound bar. Paired it with some KEFs and now i have a solid LCR. Does it match in timbre? My ears cant tell. All i know is dialogue is crisp and is far better than a phantom center. Its smaller footprint sits nicely on the desk it sits on. Great speaker.

I bought this to because I was so pleased with the performance of my pro 1000 sub that I purchased a few months back and I am completely amazed at how such a small center channel can put out such big sound. Now I want to get rid of all the rest of my speakers and go with the Def Tec. speakers. I am running this of a ! Sony STRDG 1000 amp and it can take everything it can put out. I think it is time to get rid of my 301 and 201 Bose surround speakers! Cant go wrong with this speaker that is for sure!

I have had this for a couple of months now. I have truly enjoyed the quality of sound it produces. I tend to listen to my movies at 60 db and this works so great. I sometimes have to drop down to 40 db's to keep from waking my grand daughter and I still get great sound. The construction is solid. I was amazed at the weight of this center channel based on the size of the enclosure. I expected it to be much lighter in weight. This indicated to me that there was a lot in it. I am very pleased. I am using this center with my denon and two sets of Insignia speakers. Thank you son for the reccomendation to purchase this. I will be buying more speakers of this caliber in the future. My kids often tell me Dad! Does it have to be so loud?

My old Energy center speaker bit the dust and I hurried down to BestBuy to replace it. Wanted to make sure my sound system was complete, I went in looking for something completely different and was recommended the Definitive center speaker ProCenter 1000. It sounded good in the showroom, but we know how that works sometimes. Took it home and was blown away at the difference in clarity, bass and voice. With all new speakers, they have a break in period. These are great out of the box.

Having a center channel is essential when watching movies. The ProCenter 1000 meets has a great sound and power to match my def technology floor speakers!

I replaced a larger Definitive Tech system; CLR 2002 and BP8B fronts; with this Procenter 100 and Promonitor 800 as fronts, and use ten year old Promonitor 100s as rear channels because they do not blend as well with the procenter 1000. Voices in movies can sound unclear if you sit too far to the left or right of the viewing position. You need to have decent electronics to drive these speakers though, otherwise they will sound too bright. Yamaha, Sony and Onkyo brand receivers do not have the power to make these speakers sing; stick with mid-range Denon, Integra, Carver, NAD amplification and you won't go wrong. Overall a great speaker for rooms that are less than 20 x 15 feet. I'd go with the ProCenter 2000 for large rooms.

Excellent center channel sounds great and looks great. Can't wait to purchase the tower speakers to match.

I bought it couple months ago to replace a bigger center channel and it sounds really good. I was looking for a smaller one for my new setup and I do not regret it

I was a little nervous about buying speakers that I had not actually heard in person. But after researching Definitive Technology's reputation, I went ahead and did it. I am so glad I did. When I heard this center speaker, I immediately went and ordered two floor speakers. These are the best speakers I have ever heard.

I walked into Magnolia Home looking for a more expensive center to add to my base home theater, until I was asked to listen to this speaker first. The salesman advised me this speaker was the one to get for the money. With a budget of $350 I was looking at some more expensive center's. When he let me listen to this $200.00 speaker I was sold. No question about it you can't find a better speaker for this price.

This was part of a new system that replaced a HTIB unit. There is a HUGE difference in listening quality - movie dialogue, watching TV - these are "center" functions, and this unit handles it beautifully. Do yourself a favor and give these a listen in the "Magnolia" home theater area of your BB store. Definitive Technology bundles this center with their 800 series speakers as a ProCinema 800. Best Buy matched online prices on the bundlee, saving me some $'s.

My current HTB is the JBL 600 II but I always felt that the center channel was lacking. Well I never really knew how much until I hooked up the Def Tech Procenter 1000 center channel it was like night and day. It's a little bit more money than I wanted to spend but I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. Eventually I will swap out all of the speakers with Def Tech Speakers since I'm so happy with this one. Easy to hookup and enjoy right away. I highly recommend it.

I purchased as an initial home theater setup. Only have a 3.1 setup and have this paired with the DefTech Studio 350 Bookshelf Speakers and DefTech ProSub 1000 Subwoofer. It puts out quite a punch for it's size and is perfect for a home theater center speaker. The sound is clear and crisp. This makes a good addition to any system.

I purchased this speaker to replace a Procenter 60 that was not emitting enough sound to adequately fill my theater room. After connecting the 1000 I noticed an immediate difference in sound quality and volume. It is also a perfect blend with my procinema 60 speaker system. I was able to achieve perfect speaker balance by making adjustments on my pioneer elite 21txh (also purchased at best buy). If you want perfect audio from your center speaker, BUY THIS SPEAKER!!!

I purchased this speaker to replace a pioneer 100 watt center channel speaker that i had for nearly ten years. The difference in my surround system is like night and day.This speaker seems to bring my whole speaker system up to where it should be.Powerful and precise voice reproduction. I will have to audition the rest of the Definitive Technology line for my next speaker purchase which will be a pair of front speakers. I would definitely tell anyone in the market for a center channel speaker to audition the definitive Technology Pro Center 1000. you will not be disappointed!
