I upgraded from my rear promonitor 100 to these Promonitor 1000 that now come with a built in low-frequency woofer. Very stylish design, sleek gloss black. Quality product and sound that is hard to imitate. You need to add the definitive technology promount 90 for optimal hardware mounting.

Already with the 800s for the rear surrounds, I bought the 1000s to serve as the rear speakers. They provide a little more bass response than the 800s and are just as clear. My 7.2 system now sounds very immersive.

Top of the line small speaker, with unusually good bass due to a relatively large upward facing woofer. Design is good, and for a bookshelf speaker, the overall quality and sound is excellent. Only downside is the high cost.

By no means an audiophile but do consider myself a discerning person, these small speakers are perfect for our living room. They don't blend into the decor so much but look esthetically pleasing enough and sound very good. Can't beat the price for quality. Dedicated Music listening leaves much to be desired on these but again for everyday, they suit my needs.

Nice speaker generates great sound for the size. I purchased open box set. So, price was excellent.

I compared this system to Bose, Jamo, and an off brand. This the clear cut favorite. I initially thought I was going Bose when I wanted a system but wanted to hear some other units. I tried an off brand from a big box department store and it verified my Bose interest. I then sound tested Jamo and was torn between Bose and Jamo. After listening to these perform under the same exact settings, song, and receiver the decision was as clear as what I was listening to; Definitive Technology Bookshelf Monitors were superior.

This speaker performs with clear sound no matter what sounds you put through them. With movies, as front speakers, they can be loud enough to do the a well done job. As surround speakers, the sound is cristal clear and immersive to keep you in your seat for hours. For music, they can be so clear that you find sounds you didn't hear before. It gets addicting. Overall, excellent sound and clarity for a speaker this size.

I have had and still have numerous tower speakers that I have used for, front, surround and rear speakers with my AVR’s. These speaker are awesome from the highs to lows for the $. I also bought the center channel speaker (small one) and it sounds better than bigger ones I’ve had. Mind you I still have my 12” subwoofer connected but these speakers sound great! If your significant other is on you about “why do your speakers have to be so big ,bulky and ugly” these speakers will be a great investment! The room is approximately 30’ X 27’ and fills it wonderfully.

It’s a very good product. You will be very happy with the audio.

I am slowling upgrading my home theater system that I use in my living room. This lication is used for everyday TV watching as well as movies. These speakers replaced my front speakers on an older system. Very clear sounding for both TV as well as for listening to music. I am happy I did the upgrade. The speakers are priced as each and not a pair. A little pricey but once you get over the sticker shock they really are great sounding. I plan on eventually using these as surround speakers and using the towers as front. But for know they are doing a great job.

I had a 7.2 surround system for some time now my birthday was coming up I had already up graded my AV receiver a mouth before my birthday I had done research on different bookshelf and floors. I consider every angle read reviews visited Best buy many times listen to different brands. I choose these because they where on sale the warranty was a five year. Definitive make outstanding product did not have to purchase Greek warranty.

Have duty, tight response on a variety of music. Nice professional look allows the speakers to blend in seamlessly. Pack a punch in a somewhat smaller footprint. Hooked up to a Sonos Connect Amp, couldn't be happier.

Bought these for my husband's garage. Nice small speakers, purchased the wall mount and they are perfect. The sound is very good.

Definitive Technology-ProMount 1000- Bookshelf Speaker great sound out of a small speaker

The speakers sound truely awesome. Words can't describe them, you really need to go into Magnolia and hear them for yourself. The only negative is that someone with an extremely high end system can blow out these speakers if they turn the volume up too much. I bought these as open box items at first, and whoever returned the speakers originally, blew them out. I thought I was going to have a hard time exchanging them, but Best Buy stood behind their product and sent me home with working speakers that sound unbelievable.

Extremely pleased, futured proofed my system with plenty of punch. Very happy with product Def Tech Delivers!! Thank you best Buy!

Used as my front L and R speakers. Fills up my small/medium living room with loud, clear sound. Paired with the prosub 1000. Def Tech has earned my appreciation. Made my soundbar sound like a toy by comparison

I purchased a pair of these on sale to use as rear surround speakers. They look good, have a great sound quality and mounted easily on the Sanos stands that I purchased at the same time. The addition of these speakers really rounded out my home theater. I have Definitive technology 9040 towers with Atmos modules and 9040 center channel speaker up front. The ProMonitors are mounted at the back. I hooked them wirelessly to my system with the Rocketfish adapter.

Originally went with the 800s, but the amazing sound bar was over powering them. Should of started with the 1000s, its night and day. Just pay the difference and get these.

Use these in my office hooked up to my Bluesound PowerNode 2. Great full sound with a small footprint.
