    These were fine. The sound was good. The only problem we had was that they vibrated on the shelf we had them on. No problem with static or lack of sound.

    I wanted to add a center-channel speaker for my Sony STR-DH550 A/V receiver. Speakers sold as "center-channel speakers" will not fit in the limited space in my console. Tuned by the STR-DH550 "Auto Calibration" feature to serve as a "center-channel speaker" to complement my main speakers, the ProMonitor 800 is everything I hoped for in a small speaker.
