You get more bang for your buck. These speakers are great and for the price they can't be beat. Put them in my 5.1 setup and they work perfectly.

These bookshelf speakers are perfect for your surrounds in the home theater.

These "smaller" speakers have great sound. Make no mistake they are packing a punch. When you hold one you realize that there is awesome sound in there. They are actually heavy, heavier that I thought when I first bought them. It took me some time to decide between these and the 1000 series bookshelf speakers. They are a bit lighter and the bracket that Definitive Technology makes just doesn't look that strong. Just thought it might be better fro my needs. Awesome little speakers
