    Sounded great at the store

If you use the same setup as the store it will sound good and if you put it in the same stand they had it on. However I didn't have the same things so I could not get it to produce enough sound at a higher level. It is small so if you don't have much room then it is great. I took it back and got a klipsch reference 10 that I love. The store did not have it on a great display but I already had a klipsch 12 that sounded great so I gave it a shot...and I have to say it sounds better than the 12 on my application. So if you have a small room or are using smaller speakers then the def tech would suffice but I wouldn't use it on a larger room or setup.

Great sound in a small package

Originally bought an ML Dynamo 500 but it had an irritating issue with audio pops when turning it on and off. Traded it in for the Supercube 2000 and couldn't be happier. Supercube is smaller, cheaper and sounds as good if not better IMO. Getting a ton of strong, clean bass in my 15' x 15' living room. Only issue was that it would go on an "adventure" across my tile floor. Probably moved about 6-8 inches during an average action movie. Solved that problem easily with a $30 Pyle acoustic pad.

    Very punchy

If you’re looking for a punch, look no further. What’s amazing about this little bad boy is that you’ll get a punch but a little deep end bass too. Only at times in movies when like a car explodes, will you get the deep end, as this unit amazingly recognizes that (the internal radiators are at work here). Great technology. I had two of them and the sound was clean. Not muffled at all.

    Terrific sub for the cost

I went to the Magnolia show room so that I could preview some of the subs on hand. After performing research online I had narrowed the list yet needed to listen with my own ears as everyone's tastes are different. I listened to the Def Tech Pro sub 1000 and the Def Tech Super cube 2000 and the Super Cubes bass was so much "tighter" that it made my decision an easy one. Purchase this sub and you will not be sorry. BTW my room size is 18 x 20. I also performed the "Subwoofer crawl" to find the sweat spot for placement (YouTube has some great instructions on how to do this).

    Great small subwoofer

I absolutely love this subwoofer. I don't think theirs anything out there that can produce the sound that this can in the size that it is. I would recommend this to anyone who wants good sound out of such a small subwoofer.

I have a large kitchen and den room that are combined. The KEF LSX speakers were good. However, this filled out the bottom just right.

OK While It Lasts. Mine died after 3 years

I purchased the supercube 2000 through Magnolia over 3 years ago w/ 4 year warranty and had it professionally installed by them. Worked fine for 3 years but then it gave out. Always skeptical of that smallish 7 1/2 inch driver. Tried contacting the manufacturer for suggestions. Zilch . Never answered back. I guess you are on your own on this product. Cannot recommend it.

This sub is for those who don’t have enough space for big subs. The SuperCube 2000 packs a punch.

    Waste of money!

I bought a Supercube 2000 Jan 2012 and less than 30 days later, I had to take it back to Best Buy because it was distorting the sound. They replaced it, and a year and a half later, it was completely dead. Since I paid for the extended warranty, GeekSquad sent it off for repair. One month later, it was back and working. Now, it's dead again. I have a Energy ES-10 sub that is 20 years old and still works. When the sc2000 was working, it was great for for my limited space but, I will never buy anything else from definitive technology.

    Blew 3 times

Unfortunately, I went through 3 of these within 18 months. Each time, the subwoofer would blow and I would have to return it. This happened in two different homes and for no reason. It did have a great sound, though. However, all I wanted to do was give it back and get something else. Best Buy made me send in the blown one for a new one on three different occasions and finally issued me a store credit. Go with another brand.

Great sound, but poor quality. Sent in for repair once for what turned out to be loose screws within the cabinet that secured the passive radiators. Had same problem when I received the unit from repair and exchanged for a new one, which also has the same issue.
