Disappointed my 8 year old

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chose this for my 8 year old over an iPad for her electric device for school - which became critical with COVID. Bottom line, we don’t use it anymore. No single thing that makes it bad, but it was more headache at every turn. It is slower than an iPad, heavier, and has worse video conference performance (sound and video). The ability to control permissions is nice, but whitelisting every address and every google result is impractical so you end up with the same basic child security as an iPad or PC. Worst of all, there are some things that are not compatible- like Minecraft school edition. So we ended up moving my daughter to my personal laptop for games/schoolwork and to the iPad for video. Basically now a $250 backup in case we ever need all 3 kids online at the same time for school. It was supposed to be a great starter PC for a child but we just found it too limited.
