For basics it is perfect.

I literally take this with me into every room in the house surfing for history , news , items to purchase , and in general all topics of interest . The price caught my eye and ultimately I bought it . For the cost it is excellent .

Solid laptop for basic tasks

So far the experience has been good and she's had no problems yet. The laptop is made from what I guess is a sort of matte plastic but still feels sturdy. The performance is good and haven't noticed slow downs.

If you want a small compact notebook for browsing the Internet, getting email and even creating Docs; this will accomplish all that. All storage is either with flash drives or in the cloud. Great tool for the price and the Chrome OS is rock solid.

She uses this every day and it has held up for 2 1/2 yrs so far. The hinges are very sturdy. Our previous model had a hinge that separated from the computer after 1 yr. This is easy to use and she's had no problems with it. Very happy with purchase.

Everything worked fine out of the gate and I have to concur with the vast majority of positive reviews, myself giving a 5 star rating. Still cannot get the popup ads to be eliminated. That is the only negative for me so far, after a 1 month period of usage.

Bought this for a gift

However, her mom set everything up with ease and my niece is loving it. It’s a basic computer so she won’t be able to do things I’d need a computer to do but for an 11 year old it’s great. She can get her YouTube and do her online school work from her teacher. Win/win.

Was not sure about a chromebook computer but worked out well.

I use the same models in my classrooms and hold up to every day use from my students. This prompted me to purchase for my own children as I knew they could easily complete assignments at home.
