The laptop is great. It has 512 gb SSD and a 4k resolution. Add that with the 1060 MaxQ gtx and there you have it.. a worthwhile gaming laptop around the $ 1.5k budget. The build quality is great and the design is meant to show the observers that it's a gaming laptop. However, the lower refresh rate of 60 Hz is not as good as the 122 Hz or the 140 Hz laptops out there but it's 4k Ultra HD unlike the other ones which are only 1080p Full HD so I guess you win some, you lose some. Also, if you have a 15 inch laptop bag, it might not fit in it because the dimension are somewhat higher than normal 15 inch laptops probably due to accommodate the fans for the gpu. They have also not utilized the MaxQ design of the gpu else, it would have been slim. If they wanted to use this somewhat bulky design, they should have gone for the normal gtx gpu which is a slightly better than their MaxQ counterpart. Nevertheless, a great laptop indeed!

This is a great gaming laptop that is not completely overpriced like some brands, such as alienware. It is lightweight, has a crystal-clear 4K ultra high-resolution monitor, and the two hard drives are perfect for separating your games and data files/pictures/music/movies. Other reviewers complained that is wasn't touch-screen but I never saw anything that suggested it was. In my experience I would never again buy an HP laptop.

I purchased this when it was advertised on Best Buy as a touch-screen. It is NOT a touch-screen. I wanted a touch-screen laptop. I returned this computer. Store was great (Jordan Creek). However, it looks like a great gaming laptop.

I use this computer for gaming, streaming and video editing. Great computer!

I can also confirm that this laptop doesn't have a touchscreen. I didn't buy it on that feature alone, so it is not a big deal to me. It is simply a mistake in the main description vs. the info provided in the actual specs. and I already knew this before I ordered. Screen resolution is fantastic. The only problem I really have is that the "y" key doesn't work well...I have to really hit it hard sometimes but it seems to be getting better with use...thus the little reasons not to get a full 5 stars. This laptop does support Windows Hello with a password - I haven't figured out if I can use face recognition or a fingerprint yet. Overall, this is a great laptop that provides the best value for all of the features including the newest processors, hard drives capacity, memory, etc. I researched for days to make sure I wasn't spending money on a laptop that was already out of date or would be obsolete next year. The only option better was Alienware, but I didn't think the huge increase in price was worth the minimal upgrades in comparison to this laptop. I am not a gamer - just someone who is tired of using slow computers.

The laptop was great, 4k screen was beautiful, it was fast and smooth (if gaming keep it plugged in). I never bought it for gaming, I bought it for video editing and Photoshop. The fans do get loud when using it heavily. I love the front facing speakers and performance was great. With that being said I contacted Dell and Best Buy before purchasing to make sure I would receive a touch screen laptop, I didn't. I was told by Best buy I received the wrong model and I'm going to exchange it for a touchscreen one (if it even exists)

This absolutely DOES NOT have a touch screen - the listing is wrong!! It DOES NOT support Windows Hello - Dell's website is wrong!! That being said, if those things don't bother you, this is a nice PC. I thought it would WOW me but it doesn't - it's just okay. I expected it to be much faster than my 3 year old Dual Core i7 (this is the latest Hexa Core i7) but it's only about 7% faster. I thought a 4K Screen would be fantastic, but it's just okay, nothing special. The colors are not very vivid and there are some scaling issues with some older applications. I was going to return it because of the discrepancies in the specifications, but, after a week of using it, I found it suits my needs, so I will keep it.

Nice laptop, 4k screen is great, fast, but no touch screen. I was actually excited about that. It is important to play with the system first and double check the product specs before putting up for sale. You will get a lot of negative/disappointed reviews. The laptop itself deserves 5 stars, but 4 stars due to misleading information.

Doesn't have a touch screen but still great value.. battery life is surprisingly good too
