Love this computer, very quick and a GREAT product!

I absolutely love this laptop. The fact that there is an option to control how the laptop charges makes it that much better. I play the sims so this laptop has been wonderful with being able to store and hold all my upgrades and downloads.

the computer pretty good for gaming,only the keyboard back light can't change color and not working after couple time only blue color show up

The only problem I have with this laptop is the battery life. It is a great laptop and works well but the life span of the battery is very short and it is hard to find a replacement battery.

Finally a gaming laptop with performance per value. Would play some new titles with ease and can handle a heavy workload of editing and rendering. I would consider this as an Alienware on a budget. The product would not disappoint you in terms of performance. Cons: Very Bulky and not easy to travel with

I purchased an out of box laptop to replace my Lenova - which IMO is crap. Maybe I just got a lemon?!. But the Dell G7 is great I have no issues with it and am very happy with my purchase. Hopefully after a yr or 2- I still feel the same way, lol.

I especially like the alienware command center included that can adjust fan curve. It is also compatible with ubuntu 19.04 which is great for people who want to use 2 operating systems. Its thermal is decent for its price although it can get noisy while gaming.

I Love this laptop, I mainly use it for steam but it runs beautifully. I didn't have to mess with anything it its alot faster then console. The fan is loud honestly but it's kind of relaxing, almost sounds like a white noise machine lol. But it only turns on when it's hot then turns off at a specific temperature. Overall 10/10

I needed an external speaker to listen to podcasts from my cellphone in my car and I found EXACTLY what I was looking for quickly and easily! Plus finding what I needed, the purchase came with an option for replacement if ANYTHING goes wrong with the unit- something I wish I'd had with the LAST speaker I got someplace else!

I have yet to start editing videos but I am looking forward to all the computer's capabilities. It is heavy for a laptop but I like that because it seems stronger. I can be clumsy so this is a great computer for me. It is user friendly, so far, and I am so happy this is the computer I ended up buying.

Laptop does not have good software or settings for ramping up the fans. Any game or productivity work that uses the GPU and CPU at the same time will run into issues within a few minutes. The GPU would fall on its face because of heat. It would throttle to 500mhz and stay there. Bad thermals, poor software. I feel if I could have gotten the fans to ramp up it would shed the heat and work properly. They really need fan control software on EVERY laptop.

It has had very lite use. There is a problem with the pointer arrow and the screen, it blacks out when you reach the scroll bar on the right side, have to be careful to not overpass it or it will black out. The computer has already crashed, the screen turned grey and it cannot be turned off, even if you press the on button for 5 seconds or more. I just closed it and waited over night, it turned on alright the following day. I will return it if it happens again.

If your buying based on specs, # of ports (including Thunderbolt), features, price and you are going to use it for everyday tasks this is tough to beat. I would rate this higher, however, while listening to a mix through my DAW, I noticed popping and crackling during the audio playback. Plus, the sound from the headphone jack would be intermittent in the right channel. I performed a DPC Latency check and it was absolutely horrible. I used Device Manager to disable WIFI, USB and Network adapters (common know culprits of DPC Latency) and installed ASIO4all and could not get the latency under control. This unit was not capable of handling real time audio. I spoke with Dell support(ugh!) and Geek Squad (these folks are great!). They both suggested I return the unit and it may be the sound board causing issues. I was searching online for another laptop and Best Buy had a flash sale on a new Dell G7 17 unit. I purchased a second unit for $400 less than I paid for the first one. I was hoping it was truly a bad sound board issue with the first one. I went thought the usual setup process with the second unit. When setup was complete the home screen displayed the ASUS background picture. Performed the same tests as mentioned above with the same results. Except the headphone left and right channels were fine. Well, you guessed it, I packed it up and returned this one also. If your wondering, the correct DELL G7 background was loaded on the system. And this was new??? So, if you are looking for an everyday laptop to surf, run MSOffice, stream some YouTube or Pandora this is a fast machine. Gamers ...musicians.... not so much.

I was looking for a laptop that would give me a boost in performance, and that's exactly what I got. I am very impressed with this machine. I actually bought two of them (one for my wife as well to replace her crashed PC). We both are extremely happy with the graphics and the performance.
