Great laptop. Picked this up on clearance/open box. I use AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Photoshop, etc... runs everything great. Battery life is as described (not the greatest) but it is a pretty good powerhouse for the price. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my high school son for his schooling and gaming. He is very happy with the refresh rate for many of his games. One occasion, the letter s key fell of and he was able to plug it back. So we bought him the plastic keyboard cover to protect it.

For the last fifteen years or so, I've owned HP computers. This was my first, and most likely last, Dell. Machine ran great at first. It did run hot like a lot of other reviews said. After two months it started having issues. Machine would bog down for no reason. Frame rate would drop to next to nothing. Battery no longer worked when unplugged from power. As advised, I updated everything that could be updated, but still had issues. I tried to exchange it, but I was past the return/exchange window. I contacted Dell since it was still under warrantee. As instructed I sent it off to be repaired. After a few weeks I got it back. It was a shell of its former self. Everything ran noticeably slower. Load times. Boot times. Shutdown times. Frame rates. Everything. To put it in perspective, it ran about the same as my 4 year old HP that doesn't have an SSD and only has a basic graphics card. Some of the software that had been previously installed was gone as well. It's not the machine I paid for. It still runs hot, too. I've had it for a little more than a year now, and it runs about the same as it did when I got it back from being repaired meaning it hasn't gotten any worse. I'll probably hold on to it for another year or so, but I highly doubt I will purchase another Dell.

Good and fast, did not seem to get hot like some reviewers noticed. Nice big screen for my old eyes. It comes with two hard drives, make sure you save to the storage drive, especially when doing videos. I jammed up the ssd drive with the videos I was making.

I have owned this laptop almost a year now and can say I have been very impressed, it runs everything I have thrown at it with ease. It does tend to overheat easily but I bought a laptop fan to help with that and it has been fine since! Definitely would recommend

I have had this laptop for almost 2 years now and my only complaint is that windows update messed up the rgb timing on the keyboard. Other than that an excellent product and I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase.

Buying online isn't what I like to do, but Mike was very helpful. I'm more likely to do it again sometime in the future. Best Buy is a great place to shop for most anything. I'm more than likely to go back for more. PS, Geek Squad ain't so bad either.

I did a video stress test on this machine from unigine and was super impressed with the frame rate and GPU temperature. The test showed the following: minimium FPS= 36, Max FPS=296, GPU Temperature average was 70 to 75 degrees Celsius. I am extremely happy.

I'm not a gamer, but I do stream a lot on my laptops. I usually fry them within 2 years and it's been a real headache for me. I have been using this laptop for a couple of weeks now, and it has performed much better than I had hoped. I am very happy with my selection.

This machine is extremely fast, switching back and forth between web sites. Back-lit keyboard facilitates working in dim light. Beautiful picture and great sound when watching movies. This computer has plenty of connection options. You can connect a second monitor.

It is hard to find a decent laptop with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB Hard Drive. Love everything about this computer except for the fact that it doesn't come with a CD-ROM Drive. Had to purchase an external CD Drive.

Great laptop. Good processing and gpu power. Only criticisms being the Intel boost tech for the cpu runs the voltage all over the place and the coil whine... my god the coil whine.

it's not so much the laptop... it was the service we received when we purchased it on black friday. he answered all the questions we had. it's even better than my laptop. santa is a great guy

My son needed a new replacement for his work in the gaming field. We went to Best Buy because we wanted to see what was available before purchase. We had great help and found what he needed. He is very happy with it and enjoys working with it.

So far so good. Only thing is it takes you to bios sometimes for things like battery dying or color change it’s a little nerve racking. Start up fast. Games work good I couldn’t play on the old hp.

The only thing I would consider changing is to change the secondary (data) drive to a 1gb (at least) ssd drive from the provided 1gb 5400 drive for extra speed. Top off the ram to 32 GB from the provided 16, and everything will be at max speed and storage.

I haven't used it for gaming, so I I don't know how that goes, but I do know it's quick in getting to my multiple webpages being opened. I love the lighted keyboard, and I'm still learning what it can do, overall. I highly recommend ! Laptop.

This is my wife's computer and so far, so good. The graphics card is more than capable of keeping up with the games she had in store to play and the downloads that my son plays are the best he's seen them played compared to my old laptop.

I hate reviewing so soon after a purchase. Best Buy should allow a 2 or 3 month waiting period on some items for reviews. Such as a laptop.

I love this laptop. I needed the larger size becuase I use it primarily for photo editing with Lightroom and/or Photoshop. I was able to hook it up to a larger color calibrated monitor to make editing even easier.
