I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Best Buy (North Point location), and I will never shop here again. I purchased a Dell 27” all-in-one computer for around $1,400, and within just ONE MONTH, the keyboard started malfunctioning—some letters wouldn’t type at all. This is clearly a defective product, not normal wear and tear. When I went back to the store expecting a simple replacement, they flat-out refused to help because it was “outside the return window.” Instead of standing behind what they sold, they pushed me toward the manufacturer or tried to upsell me into their Geek Squad membership just to fix something that should have been replaced for free. So let me get this straight—I spend $1,400, receive a defective keyboard, and now I’m supposed to pay MORE money just to make it right? That’s unacceptable. And when they say “manufacturer warranty,” what they really mean is: send your product away and forget about it for 1–2 months (or more) while you wait, with no real solution in the meantime. That’s not support—that’s inconvenience. They quoted me $50 for a membership and even more for a replacement keyboard—basically turning their own product defect into another way to charge the customer. That feels less like customer service and more like a money grab. What makes this worse is that other retailers—like Amazon—actually stand behind their products and give customers reasonable return windows. With Amazon, you still have time and flexibility. Here, you’re on your own after a few weeks, even if the product is clearly faulty. This store does not care about customers after the sale. No accountability, no support, just excuses and upselling. If you’re thinking about buying electronics here—don’t. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually values your business.
