I've played multiple different games on the highest quality for multiple hours at a time with no lag issues! I do, however, very highly recommend coupling it with an external fan cooling base so you don't fry the cpu in the long run!

grab one on a heavy sale, buy a 32gb kit of ram and throw in a 1tb m.2 and it makes a decent light gaming laptop. wish the battery lasted longer.

I was looking for a budget VR Ready laptop. This was one of my options and got it. If you're looking for a budget vr ready laptop this will do.

This is an amazing standalone for LIGHT gaming, if you want to stream make sure you like having lag, but otherwise it’s a beauty and I like it

It’s a good laptop, I really enjoy using it for doing vr with steam. I bumped the ram from the piddly 2400 8gb ram single channel to 32 using 2 x 3200 16gb, also added another m.2 for storing games. All together this is a nice laptop it is bulky sure but that’s what you get with any decent graphics card on a laptop. Worth the money, little things upgrade it to a very nice little on the go game box.

I really enjoy the laptop. It runs very smooth and fast. Have not run into any issues on its performance, besides the fact that the battery seems to die really quick.

My first gaming laptop. Usually game on console, but giving pc a try. I like it so far and this has been a great laptop so far, no issues and it serves my non gaming needs as well. Construction seems very durable.

So far this has been great! I got it with the open box discount so I think I got a pretty good deal! This works great for my accounting degree and allows me to hook it up to dual monitors.

Very fast! What i expected! Needed more memory tho 8GB ram is not enough for bigger games It says it comes with 8gb ram but really its a true 7.35gb after setup. Up it to 16gb and works like a charm!

I love this computer. I am not really very smart when it cmes to all the techy stuff, but i know that this computer runs WOW without a hitch. Being 62 and playing a mmrpg is just so fun!

First impression: My first impression of the Dell G15 Ryzen Edition laptop is that it is a very well-made laptop. The composite body feels solid. The keyboard offers good response, and the orange backlit keys make it easy to see in less than perfect lighting. It’s an attractive looking, well-built gaming laptop. It comes with one USB 3.2 port, one USB-C port, two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a physical Ethernet port. It also comes with a Killer WiFi 6 wireless Ethernet adapter. It also comes with a large 19-volt, 180 watt power brick. Quality. The Dell G15 laptop has a composite shell that feels very sturdy and strong. The hinges are tight and hold the screen at any angle without the screen slipping. The case has attractive ventilation slots with exhaust out the back. When really pushing the laptop, the fan kicks in and the hot air exhausts out the back. It isn’t super heavy, but it is heavier than my other laptops. To me this is expected. Setup: Setup was just like any Windows 10 setup. I did run into a problem during the very beginning of it. When I got to the “Meet Cortana” setup part, the option buttons were not displayed on the screen, so I couldn’t go any further. I looked it up and it seems to be a problem with some laptops. So, I did a hard reset, and the buttons still weren’t displayed. I ended up doing 7 hard resets before the options were available. After that I continued and completed the setup. Following this was about an hour of continuous updates and reboots and then the laptop was ready for use. Performance: This laptop is fast. The AMD Ryzen CPU does a very good job with general computing use and with simulations. The laptop opened and saved all files quickly both locally and to the cloud. I uploaded and downloaded PDFs, large video files, and large simulation files to and from my NAS and the files transferred quickly over the Killer WiFi 6 wireless adapter. For the gaming test, I ran the DRL drone simulator and Liftoff drone simulator through Steam. My controller is a Radiomaster TX16S Max connected to the laptop with a FrSKY USB wireless adapter. I ran multiple simulations for the review. All the flying simulations were smooth and fluid without any hiccups. The display was clear and without any artifacts. I continually increased my flying speed and direction changes and the built-in display kept right up. I plugged in my LG 34UM88 34” widescreen monitor to the external HDMI port and flew again. This monitor performed the same as the built-in monitor, so I’m quite happy with the external HDMI port. During the entire flying session, the laptop remained cool, and the fan only came on once and didn’t stay on long. There doesn’t appear to be any thermal problems with his laptop at all. The charging time is surprisingly low; in less than 2 hours I have a complete charge. And the battery life might be the biggest surprise in this entire review. For general laptop use, I got 9 hours on a single charge. I’m not sure how long the battery lasts while flying my drone simulators (DRL and Liftoff), but my longest session was over 4 hours and I still had quite a bit of battery life available. Conclusion: I really like this laptop. It is an entry-level gaming laptop, and in this category, it does an exceptional job. This laptop uses some Alienware technology. It isn’t an Alienware laptop and shouldn’t be expected to perform like one, but the use of the technology probably had something to do with the great entry-level performance. For the cost, you get a lot of laptop, and unlike many laptops, this one is upgradable. If you are looking for a good entry-level laptop at a good price, then the Dell G15 Ryzen 5 Edition is the laptop to get. I highly recommend this laptop. Now…back to flying.

Battery was defective. Sent the request to Dell. Dell sent me the battery to replace myself which is inconvenient

Bought it for my son, he loves it, cool colors and display is ok. Camera could be better hence 4 stars.

Only had for 2 months and used a few times, but for my 1st gaming laptop it has been great. Played a few games with awesome frame rates.

Love the color of the laptop, is not the typical black color, I can see the keyboard without the backlights. Is lighter than my previous laptop
